Are you numbering your RSVPs?

Laura, on March 7, 2018 at 8:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

Sometimes guests forget to write in their names when they send back their RSVPs. Subtly numbering them, either with invisible ink or with a small number in the corner of the back can be a big help in keeping your guest list straight. Are you numbering your RSVPs? How are you doing it?

Yessss! I highly recommend the invisible ink though! We just printed them on the side of the invites and some people thought it was their ranking amongst friends and family. Yes, Aunt Carol, you rank number 30 in our ratings Smiley amazing

Oh no! I guess you could use a couple of letters as your code instead of numbers. I never would've thought of anyone thinking it was ranked, but if anyone would, it would be that one aunt we all have! Smiley xd

Invisible ink for the win! We are doing RSVP online to help avoid this along with a few other issues our friends have experienced. Good luck!

I'm planning on it! I've already assigned numbers to guests for now, although I'm sure they'll change. My invitations haven't come in yet, but it's helpful in making sure we have enough.

Yes, I used invisible ink. One shade for each of us and also put an initial in front of the number based on our current last names. So, for example, my last name starts with 'V' and if you were number 45 on my excel sheet you were coded as V45.

Helped with a few of the ones we received, especially when handwriting was difficult to decipher lol.

I am thinking of filling out the RSVP card with guest names to avoid confusion about who exactly is invited and also to solve this problem as well. If not, I'll number the RSVP.

I didn't, I wrote their addresses on the rsvp envelope, so I knew who was who.

This is what I did too-wrote in the return addresses on the RSVP envelopes. We had a small guest list so it wasn't too time-consuming.

We had our RSVP envelopes pre-printed with the guests' names so we wouldn't have to worry about this.
Poor Aunt Carol, that's pretty funny thinking it was her ranking! Smiley xd

We numbered ours, we just wrote a small number on the back in the corner and made an excel spread sheet with all the names and numbers listed

I numbered mine. The upper corner of the rsvp is like a medium grey. I just wrote the number in there lightly with pencil. I gave it to FH & my mother to check it. They knew I numbered them but couldn't find it. I know where it is & that's all that matters. Its not like FH would do anything with them lol. So far I've gotten them all back correct but still crossing my fingers for the rest
