For us, we’re basing inviting friends on how long we’ve known them and how in contact we’ve stayed. My FH is from southern Cali and doesn’t see his friends often at all, but has some he absolutely wants to invite. I have friends I’ve seen recently that won’t make the cut.

I think I am only inviting one friend I haven't seen in a few years, but we still talk. She's going to school in another state, so it's just impossible to meet up with our schedules. Once she is done with school and once I'm done with my CPA exams, I'm sure we will make more effort. FH is inviting several "friends" he hasn't seen in several years. He's only kept communication with some, so that's okay.

Definitely inviting my college roommates. They all live far and we never see each other, so it’s been exciting to get together at each other’s weddings so far!
i have a couple childhood friends that I haven’t seen in years, but think it would be nice to invite. However since we don’t talk outside of being Facebook friends, everyone has told me that’s an unnecessary invite. Especially since we’re already over our guest list limit!

I invited a handful of my closest high school friends that I had not seen in over a decade. We all live in different parts of the world, so it is the geography that caused us to drift part. Two were able to attend, so it became a small reunion for us. Smiley heart

I invited a friend I haven't seen in 11 years, and she will be attending. I cried when I got the RSVP. My FH hasn't seen most of the friends he invited, so I'm hoping they can attend, as well.

My fiance invited a lot of friends from high school who he hasn't seen since graduating. So, in a manner of speaking, yes.

Nope! Only inviting close family/friends who we actually talk to on a regular basis.... those people who we already invite to the different parties and gatherings we have at our house throughout the year.

I’m glad that our venue only holds a maximum of 60 people. That way we’ll be surrounded by people who are truly close to us... and not “just because” guests.

Yes. Only because I work two jobs (one full time one part time) with my oldest in school and extra curricular activities and a 3 year old. Needless to say I'm always busy running so I rarely have a chance to see my friends. If i only invited people i talked to regularly that would be my mom, my sister, my FH's ex wife, the babysitter and my landlord. *facepalm*

Yes and no. I'm inviting all of my closest friends from college (6 people + SOs/spouses). I had a larger group from HS, but it's been 10 years since we graduated, and I'm not close with at least half of them anymore. I invited 5 of my high school friends who a) I keep in touch with regularly, b) would text me if they were in town, and/or c) were really important in my life at some point.

One or 2, but mostly not. If I haven't seen or talked to you at all in a year or 2 - sorry you're not invited.

Maybe a couple. There's even some family I haven't seen in awhile that I'm not inviting so we'll see.

It all depends on what's recent...If I haven't spoking to you in 2 years that would be a no!

I thought about inviting some of my high school and college friends, but we really aren’t that close any more and I don’t think that they would come.
