Are you having a bachelorette party?

Chrysta, on July 21, 2020 at 8:35 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 33

The possibilities for bachelorette parties are endless these days! We’ve all seen the groups out barhopping, carrying with them tons of props, or playing crazy games involving getting items from strangers. Some decide to take the celebration on the road- be it a wild weekend in Vegas, or a relaxing weekend at a spa. While other brides are opting for a quiet night in with the girls. Are you/did you have a bachelorette party?? Share the fun details! (Bonus points for pictures!)

I just have my sister as MOH so FH and I are having my sister, his brother, and my sister's husband over for a super fun game night this weekend. We'll make margaritas and rum buckets. Keeping it pretty lowkey

Our bridal party is 75% minors (her 2 little sister and my 1 little sister and then my best friend), so we were thinking along the same lines as the PP and doing a game night with some drinks for the adults! We have a pretty big game collection already that keeps growing!

My bridal party is spread out across the country and some are unable to travel indefinitely due to covid, so we are tentatively planning for everyone to come a day early to my wedding for a fun spa day with mimosas. Maybe I'll have a bachelorette party after my wedding when covid is gone, who knows! My FH is doing cigars and whiskey at an outdoor bar next month (his groomsmen are all from our area) and he couldn't be happier that his groomsmen won't be able to talk him into heading to the club after because they're all closed.

Mine is this weekend! We are having a brunch and bubbly bridal shower and then we are doing a good old fashioned sleepover at my MoH's house with pizza, drinks, games, karaoke, movies...just hanging out with my favorite girls!

I have 6 people including myself for my party. My MOH is planning it! I can't wait, I kind of know what she is planning because she asked me the location of some things where I live since she isn't from here and has only been to visit here I think 7 times for like day visits. I know a brewery is on the plan and I think Mexican food. They are like within walking distance of each other so I know she asked me about that. I know she was thinking about doing a paint and wine thing too, but not sure if that is happening now. Either way I'm excited. It's about a month away.

My bachelorette party was a long weekend trip to Savannah, GA. I told my friends no obnoxious t-shirts or props. So, they went low key with sunglasses and coozies (they said "Bride" and "Bride's drinking team"), which I liked. We did some sight seeing, a haunted bar crawl, some beach time, explored some local breweries, and hung out at our Airbnb. It was a great time and really everything I could have hoped for.

My bridesmaids are going to book a cabin in the mountains for a weekend. They plan on us going to wineries and the rest of the plans are a surprise. They also included my mom because she is SUPER close to me and my girls.

I did but mine was atypical: I am not a bar hopping club scene type so I wanted something different. We went horse back trail riding and virtual reality gaming

Love this!! My maid of honor & man of honor were going to take me to the Wizarding world of Harry Potter for my “bachelorette”, before we had to reschedule due to the pandemic. And now, of course, Florida is getting hit hard. Hopefully we will be able to do it next year instead!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hey, look, the pandemic had a bright side! LOL I had never thought about the fact that Guys can no longer drag the groom to a club or strip club, since they are all shut down! It’s weird, it seems like bachelorette parties are all about the bride and showering her with love and doing things that she really enjoys. Whereas bachelor parties really seem all about the groomsmen and what they want! I don’t know how many times one of my guy friends got married and specifically stated they did NOT want to go to a strip club or have strippers at their party... but the groomsmen did it anyway.

We have the party planned for Labor Day weekend in NOLA but who knows what will happen with COVID. If we are able to go, we'll spend the majority of the time eating good food and exploring Bourbon StreetSmiley smile
