Are you counting the days until you can cut your hair?

A. L., on May 19, 2017 at 11:11 AM Posted in Planning 0 75

As a marathon runner, normally I keep my hair super short this time of year, because it's hot as blazes out. I'm racing a half marathon tomorrow, and I'm dying that my hair is so long. But alas, the sacrifices we make for having enough hair to do something for the wedding pictures, right?

Seriously, this is so first world problem, but I'm counting the days until I can cut my hair short again as much as I am for the wedding itself.

The sock bun is wonderful for working out.

I have been growing mine out since I last cut it super short (FH was not amused) in 2013. I love it longer, but some days entertain wanting to cut it because its less time consuming to take care of.

I think more so that I am waiting until I can get it permed again so I can scrunch and go.

I get regular cuts, but nothing drastic! I'm probably cutting mine before we even leave for our honeymoon.

One of my bridesmaids is a hair dresser. We've had it planned since day one that the morning after the wedding she is hacking it all off!! SO EXCITED! So tired of having sooo much hair!

I'm not yet to the point of needing to grow my hair out for a wedding do.....but I'm debating if I even want to. I know there are lots of beautiful styles for the length I've been keeping my hair lately. I feel like growing it out would be so annoying to me

Yes, I normally have about shoulder length hair but with the style of hair I want for the wedding I need it long (i also have extremely thick hair) so it's been awful but with it being warmer I just stick it up in a bun!

I have kept my hair short (just below chin length like my profile pic) for years, and I am now growing it out so I have more hair to work with for the wedding. It's driving me absolutely insane and I can't wait to cut it again. It's at that weird awkward length where it doesn't style the way I want it to most of the time, and I have a weird Carol Brady flip in the back of my head that I can't seem to get rid of no matter what I do.

So yea. I can't wait to cut my hair.

I was sooooooo excited to chop my short again!! I have really thin hair so normally shorter (lob) is always better for me, but I wanted to make sure my hair was long enough to do something with for the wedding! The post-wedding-chop felt so good Smiley smile

Holy hell am I counting the days!

I usually have mine "boy" short, but I always envisioned having my hair in a braided up do walking down the aisle. I haven't had it cut since we got engaged (Nov 2014) and it is such a hassle. I've already picked out what color I'm dying it and what cut/style I'm going for next.

176 days to the wedding, 180 until I go back to having wonderfully short hair. Damned my stupid visions about the perfect day!

Oh man!! I thought I was the only one. When I'm asked what am I looking forward to the most about my wedding one of my answers is cutting my hair. If not the day after, after the honeymoon I will be cutting it. FH doesn't like the thought but oh well.

YES! I'm so tired of the long hair that I've been growing out for the past year and a half. Short as soon as the wedding is over.

Oh, god, I'm glad to see there are others. We needed a summer wedding (FH is a teacher), but boy, long hair in the spring/summer is so terrible.

YES! I usually keep my hair just above my shoulders, and especially with the Texas summer heat, it's killing me that I can't chop it off!

You couldn't pay me to cut my hair haha I keep it down to my lower back because its so frizzy, curly and crazy that I need the weight that comes along with long hair.

I actually plan on getting a small haircut before the wedding, not after
