I'm wearing flats and changing into nice flip flops for the reception. I'm just a flip flop kinda girl!

Yes! I've had my flats for the longest time but didn't have my heels.. I finally found them (while my parents were visiting) in the clearance section on DSW and with the birthday discount I had.. I think I paid around $25 for a pair of shoes that were $80 to begin with.

The flats did cost a bit more though. But I am excited to finally have both pairs of shoes!!

ETA: heels for the ceremony and possibly first dance.. flats for the rest of the reception.

I started in wedges. But they were killing me before the ceremony. We took all pictures before, so my feet were killing me. I had gotten wedge flip flops to wear after. But since my feet were killing me I went bare foot for the rest of the night.

I plan on wearing heels for the pictures beforehand, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the beginning of the reception then change into flats. FH wants me to have my heels on for our first dance. If I can't make it through cocktail hour with heels on I'll switch and then switch back for the first dance.

I would not be able to wear heels all night...lol! I think it would be a great idea to change into a cute pair of matching flats! You'll be so much more comfy! =)

I'm planning to wear mid-size heels for as long as possible because I like the way I walk and the way my body looks when I wear heels. I will most likely bring some ballet flats or flip-flops just in case though. I love the funky mismatched socks idea! These are kinda what I'm looking for as far as flats go:

I stayed in my heels up until the last hour of the reception, I'd been in them for a good 6 hours. I think I was having too good a time to notice my feet had started to hurt, which mighta been bad cuz one of my big toes has numb since that night o__0. BUT I was prepared with white lowtop converse to finish out the reception and take us to the bowling afterparty.

I bought pretty low heels, about 2" and wore them around the house for a few days so I knew they'd be comfy enough. But the day before the wedding we spent the whole day standing at our venue setting up which made me feet soo achey, so another day of standing at the wedding meant my feet were painful again, I hadn't planned flats as such, and just put my converse style shoes in a bag to go under the top table-we now have a photo of me holding my dress up on the dance floor with converse on haha!

I wore heels most of the day. I think I would have made it all day, but after supper people started leaving and I got caught outside talking to people. Standing still on concrete for a long time did my feet in. I had cowboy boots to change into (I hate flats) and they hurt my feet worse than the heels because no one thought to grab the socks I had with them. I got horrible blisters and I probably had them on less than 2 hours.

I got ready in boots, changed into heels for pictures and the ceremony, and right after the ceremony I changed back into my boots.

I was barefoot through most of the reception.

I didn't change... My dress was hemmed for my shoes, I didn't want to change and wind up with it being too long. My feet sure paid the price, though!

I had heels on all the way until the bluegrass band started. We were dancing so hard that my heels fell off and I kept dancing barefoot!
