Are you booking a photographer for your honeymoon?

A few months ago someone on here (I forget who), hired a photographer at her resort during her honeymoon and the pics were gorgeous. I've been playing around with the idea and still haven't called our resort in Aruba yet to see if that is a service they provide and if so, how much. I also haven't mentioned it to Hubby because his favorite line is "Book it", so I don't even want to fill his head with this idea until I have researched it further.

Has anyone booked or thinking of booking a photographer for your honeymoon? And if so, approx how much were you quoted or spent and where?

Edited to add: Not the ENTIRE trip. Just a photographer to do a photo session on the beach Smiley smile

We're taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Tahiti so I have been playing with the idea of doing a photo shoot down there but I didn't know it was common!

That sounds awesome Mrs. King. I didn't know it was common either. When I mentioned to the guy at the guest services desk I thought I'd have to explain more, but he knew exactly what I was talking about.

Now I'm stalking my email because I'm curious as to how much it costs. lol

We're staying at a Sandals resort and have the option to do a quick 20-30 minute photo shoot, for free. We might just to have nice "un-selfie" pictures so my arms not sticking out in all of them! Smiley smile

Lol Sarah. Hubby loves selfies of us and they come out nice but a photo session would be cool. And nice you have that option for free Smiley smile

Thanks for the shout out TiffanyShay. Yeah I think honeymoon pictures are becoming a little more popular. I figure there may not be a ton of opportunities to go to these amazing places again so why not have some awesome pictures from them?! But it's an extra expense for sure.

And yes if anyone is coming to Hawaii, my FH and I wouldn't mind building up our portfolio so the pictures would be nice and cheap, so if you're worried about expense...that's a good way to go about it. Feel free to message me :-)

Places that specialize in Honeymoons have special honeymoon photo packages. My sisters are absurd, it even has them in a bubble bath together..,

Disney has so many photos on site, and you can book private sessions, if you pay a certain amount, one will even follow you around capturing moments all day.

    Just depends what you want.

Lol Mallory. How ya been? How is the baby?

Happy in Hawaii - if we were coming there I would definitely contact you. Those wedding pics you shot were beautiful. Wishing you much success Smiley smile

Thanks Pezzy. Maybe if I mention "second honeymoon" enough, we'll get a good deal lol

(As of now - it keeps changing) We're going to a cabin in the Hill Country in Texas. Private - just us, wine, and nature. So no photographer to ruin the quiet for us!

I am pretty sure that was OGJessesGirl that did the photo shoot on her honeymoon and they turned out great! We are going to Sandals in Jamaica, so I think it would be fun to do one of their free shoots to get some "non-selfie" honeymoon pictures. I think it's a great idea Nay! And you know your hubby will be all for it, with his "book it" mentality Smiley smile

This is definitely something FH and I are interested in as our honeymoon will be our first vacation together and will likely (hopefully) be somewhere beautiful and exotic so this would be a priceless memory for us!

The problem I have with things like this is what do people do with ALL these pictures? I only have so much wall space lol!

Nay - I'm alright, starting to find my feet with it all and the baby is great thanks. Thankfully she likes to sleep Smiley smile and is feeding like hell at the moment. But all good

Not honeymoon - but our photography package included our engagement shoot and on a whim I suggested to the photographer that he fly over to Paris with us from the UK and we do the shoot there. He thought it was a great idea (good for his portfolio). Now we've got 150 pictures of us enjoying Paris for the cost of a budget air return flight. I think honeymoon pictures are a fab way of getting some beautiful photos of the two of you that are maybe a bit more relaxed than your wedding photos.

I'd never heard or thought of this, but actually it's a lovely idea! It would be great to have shots of the honeymoon with both of us in instead of one of us behind the camera. We're not going to a resort though, and I should imagine there aren't a lot of people who'd do this in Morocco. Not to mention the extra cost. I'm just going to tell myself it can't be done.

Still waiting for the info from the resort. And Jordan I'm still not mentioning it to Hubby until I know the cost. lol
