Appy couple, the knot, or wedding wire?

ashley_severns2016, on September 12, 2015 at 9:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

I'm curious, in your opinion, which is the best wedding website for our guests to get information about our wedding? Would love to hear what everyone has chosen and why Smiley smile thanks!

I like the wedding wire website bc I am able to have different pages instead of having everything in one long page like the knot has....unless I just don't know who to work that website builder....but even then, it's easier with ww to build the site. I also like the fact WW has a page you can have for song requests from your guests Smiley smile

WeddingWire was really easy to use. I tried The Knot first and it was way too complicated.

I'm using Appy Couple. I hadn't found wedding wire yet when I started creating a website. I like Appy Couple though because I can add questions on the RSVPs. I need to know how many people will be attending for each age group under 5, 5-12, 13-20, and 21+ and I also want to ask about food allergies on the RSVPs, since our venue said they will help us accommodate any people with allergies. There isn't a specific page for song requests like there seems to be on the wedding wire site but I just plan on adding that as a custom question on the RSVPs also.

Aw thanks guys!!! Don't judge me by the giant "ATTENTION" message on the front of my website. I just put that there because people suck at RSVPing! Haha, I will take it down eventually and then my site will look a little better... haha

I'm currently using Appy Couple and I love it. I like that's guests can access the information via website and app. I also like that you can designate which guest see what. I'm having a shower in both Cleveland and Columbus, and have put both on Appy Couple. I was then able to designate which guest see the Information for the Cleveland shower.. And who sees information for the Columbus shower. I also like you can add poll question into the RSVP feature. So guest can make their meal selections, suggested songs, and let us know if they have food allergies when they RSVP. Appy Couple offers so many cool features

My FH wanted complete control over website features and luckily has the know-how to DIY a website (he already hosts a blog), so he bought a domain name and template he could modify and did our site himself. He considered all the free site options first and was not a fan.

Ours is through minted. They just launched and it was free when I made it. You have multiple pages and you get our own domain name without having to pay.

We used WW. I had one on the knot, but the planning tools on WW made life easier.
