So my wedding is during my Spring semester. During my spring semester I will be taking my EMT course and I might possibly be doing my clinical at that time so I think that fake nails might not be an option unless I am willing to pull them off the day after the wedding. So my wedding is during my Spring semester. During my spring semester I will be taking my EMT course and I might possibly be doing my clinical at that time so I think that fake nails might not be an option unless I am willing to pull them off the day after the wedding. My nails are not nice and long and don't grow really well.

So did anyone not do fake nails or isn't doing them? Can I see your pictures?

I plan to be all real head to toe. My friends told me about something called shelac? for the nails which is still your nail, but its harder and protects it from breaking. Something about using UV lights to set it in.

Nope I'll just have them do the gel over my natural nails. I'm super lucky and have really long and healthy nails (except in winter) so no need to add tips to them.

I will not be doing fakes. I had acrylics once almost 15 years ago. I had always had beautiful nails, but thought I would give them a try. They messed my nails up so badly it took almost a full year for them to look like they did before (and I still have a permanent "bump" in one of my pointers. Anyway, my nails look fine the way they are, so I just plan on a regular ol' manicure for my day.

I am doing gel 2 weeks before so that my nails will grow out some. Then I will do a american manicure with gel the day before.

I'm not doing fake nails either. I will just be sure to get regular manicures and eat properly before the wedding but I really don't want long nails, just nice hands :-)

All natural bride here...can't see myself with fake nails, ever again. Even with my job, I am afraid the acrylic will break like it did when I use to play sports, I had my own nails with acrylic on them when I was playing softball, and the acrylic bent into my thumbs and middle finger nail...I had to have them surgically removed very painful and never again to fake nails or ayrcilic

I like acrylics because I am too lazy to grow my nails out. I don't wear acrylics all the time. Maybe once every 2 to 3 months so my nails aren't terrible. But I feel acrylics look nicer because that's the only way I will have long nails lol Smiley smile

I love acrylics I just don't want to pay all that money to do my nails and then have to take them off for my EMT class especially since I might be doing my ride alongs at that point,
