Anyone know of a green/lush/garden venue in Phoenix, AZ?

Michaela, on May 18, 2015 at 7:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hey all,

My fiancé and I really want to get married outdoors in a forest/garden etc. Unfortunately, we live in Phoenix, AZ and have family that would not be able to fly anywhere due to funding and health reasons. We have considered going up North to Sedona or Oak Creek, but haven't had a lot of luck. Any ideas on somewhere beautiful and green as a venue that won't break the bank? HELP!

Hello! Congratulations!! I did an obnoxious amount of research into garden venues around Phoenix. What kind of budget do you have?

Maybe Whispering Tree Ranch? We're getting married at Shenandoah Mill, which has nice green lawns/greenery, but no one's going to confuse it for a forest.

Windmill Winery, Shenandoah Mill, The Paseo (new venue in Apache Junction), Boojum Tree (expensive as hell though)... we decided to go up north to Payson as kind of a destination wedding and fell in love with Kohls Ranch Lodge. It's gorgeous and green as green could be and very affordable! Our guest list is 85-90 and we're able to keep just a snug under our $7000 budget with everything (including my dress).

If you're willing to drive a short distance, there is a beautiful venue in Pine Top - The Gathering Place. FH's older brother got married there a few years back and it was stunning! They've remodeled since then too, so it's all updated. Beautiful Pine Trees, and very affordable. They also give you an extra day for clean up.
