Anyone else wearing flip flops?

I have never been comfortable in heels for more than an hour or so. I don't understand how girls can wear heels all day everyday, totally look up to those ladies! So for my wedding (this Saturday, eek!) I plan on wearing some white flip flops. I know I'll be on my feet for most of the day and the last thing I want to worry about is hurting feet. I feel like no one is even going to see my feet since the dress goes to the floor. My FH also is only 2 inches taller than me so if I wear heels I'll be taller. My mother and my FMIL are giving me a hard time though! They think I need to wear some fancy heels or at least some fancy flats. What are your opinions? I'm hoping to get some ladies on my side! Even though I mostly see the gorgeous heels posted on here, haven't seen any flip flops yet!

Absolutely not. Flip flops are for the beach, not weddings.

I'm either wearing flip flops or flats. I want to be comfortable and I tend to be pretty unsteady in heels so I'm playing it safe

I'm wearing the heels only up until dinner. Once it's time to dance these bad boys are coming off. I plan to get cute flats, maybe something with stones on them. All my friends and family know I'm not a heels girl so they'll expect it.

My mother hates that I don't wear heels and I always threatened to wear flip flops on my wedding day just because I can. I did decide on some silver jeweled flat sandals instead.

I plan to wear my heels for as long as I possibly can (this is what 19 years of ballet training was for, right?!) and then have a pair of wedged or platform flip flops to change into if necessary. But the heels I picked are actually pretty comfortable, so I'm really hoping I'll never need the flip flops.

If you think they're not dressy enough, you can get beaded ones at Payless. I bought some several years ago and they fell apart and I've gotten them every year since. They have the heel strap too so totally safe on the dance floor!

I'm def changing into flip flops later too. For now I have heels but as I've been breaking them in I realized they make me taller than FH. So I have to decide quickly what to do before my first fitting.

Isn't it too late to adjust your hem at this point anyways? Tell them oh well guess I'll have to stick with the flip flops!

    I say GO FOR IT!

For the longest time I joked about going "barefoot and braless" on my wedding day but then I found my dream dress and that unfortunately just doesn't work. So I'm going to also be trying to find some sandals or flip flops to wear!

I don't know if anyone has said this yet but aren't you worried about:

    -tripping

    -them falling off

    -the flip-flop sound

I would do flats or at least something with a back.

I'll be wearing flats because I'm just comfortable in them. Plus our ceremony is on the grass and I don't want the heel sinking into the ground

With a long dress though? I can just see the dress sliding in between the shoe or your feet.

Also what about that flip-flop flip-flop all the way down the aisle?

ETA: I don't care what you do just making sure you've thought it through.
