Anyone else wearing flip flops?

I have never been comfortable in heels for more than an hour or so. I don't understand how girls can wear heels all day everyday, totally look up to those ladies! So for my wedding (this Saturday, eek!) I plan on wearing some white flip flops. I know I'll be on my feet for most of the day and the last thing I want to worry about is hurting feet. I feel like no one is even going to see my feet since the dress goes to the floor. My FH also is only 2 inches taller than me so if I wear heels I'll be taller. My mother and my FMIL are giving me a hard time though! They think I need to wear some fancy heels or at least some fancy flats. What are your opinions? I'm hoping to get some ladies on my side! Even though I mostly see the gorgeous heels posted on here, haven't seen any flip flops yet!

I'm not a heels girl, so I'm looking for some nice ballet flats. I don't want to flip flop down the aisle lol

I am planning on wearing heals for the ceremony/mass - then changing to flats or flip flops for the reception, without a doubt. i hate heels!

I live in flip flops, I wore them when I went dress shopping. The first thing my mom said when I walked I the door that day was "over my dead body will you wear flip flops on your wedding day!"

Good for you, don't listen to the mothers! I will probably wear ballet flats, but I'm also tempted by those Chacos or these ribbon sandals in white: http://ssekodesigns.com/shop/sandals.html

I plan on going barefoot for most of evening, and having some backup ballet flats or something similar for the walk to and from the ceremony site and maybe for dancing if people are toe trampling.

I wore heels for all of our pics (we did a first look) and the ceremony. I was in so much pain and the heels kept getting stuck between the wood slats when we were doing pics. My DOC had my flip flops on the ground at the end of the aisle to change and I was so comfy after my foot warped back into normal position.

I'm wearing heels for the ceremony with orthotic insoles from dr scholls, solely for the proper posture they force on you lol. After the ceremony, I have a pair of very low wedges (about 1") I'll move the insoles into and probably go with those all night. The insoles help a TON!

For flip flops, I definitely recommend Vionic brand, they have GREAT support!!

I find it impossible or to dance in flip flops. Personally I intend to wear ballet flats or a sandal that buckles on.

I am blessed and can pretty much wear heels all day. I was in a theater production once where my character was a Las Vegas showgirl. I had to run around stage in 6 inch pumps for 2 hours a day for over a month while we rehearsed. Heels have never bothered me since lol. The plan is to wear heels for the ceremony and first dance. I'll probably slip on some comfortable flats after that.

I'm wearing customized chucks. I am not a heels girl either. Chucks are my go to. I'm jazzing them up for the wedding though.

I feel like flip flops will be hard to dance in so I'm sticking with ballet flats.

Is anyone even going to see your shoes? I don't think it matters as long as you are comfortable

The only time people will see my shoes is at the reception when we do the Horah. But really, I don't care if people see them! I wear flip flops everyday, I live in Southern California so it's flip flop season year round! I don't have a problem dancing in them either.

Me and my FH are about the same height, so I'm wearing flats.

I'm planning on getting some "fancy" flip flops. All the ones I have are black so I'll need to get something that will at least look decent. My mom is totally on board with this idea, she actually thinks it was her idea since she said it out loud first. I only wear two kinds of shoes, flip flops and boat shoes. I guess I am still considering getting some white Sperry's, they might stay on better.

I had blinged out ballet slippers. Very comfortable, but still looked formal for those times I had to lift up the bottom of the dress a little, or when we were walking downstairs to make our formal exit from the synagogue.
