Anyone else spending $500 or less on your dress?

I'm trying to spend $800 total on my wedding outfit. I want to save budget for shoes, accessories, and alterations, so I feel like I should be looking for a dress that's $500 or less. Has anyone found a dress in that price range or is that way too little??

Id suggest looking at David’s Bridal and check out Sample Sales and Trunk Shows at your local bridal stores. The dress I’m looking at right now is originally $1500 and it’s on sale as part of a Sample Sale for $599!

I spent $103 on my dress, $30 on my shoes and $80 total on wedding jewelry. For my first wedding I spent more like $450 because my David's Bridal $250 dress required over $100 in alternations. It's definitely possible! It really depends on what you're looking for.

I love still white.com. at that budget you could get a galia lahav (is that spelled right) 2nd hand and only worn for 4 hours. shop smart ladies! You're only wearing it one time so just keep that in mind but if u have the budget go for it. I bought a thousand dollar dress for 150 and a 1400 dollar dress for 60. Both are only a year old and look new. So in love.

I wasn't a huge fan of David's Bridal. I loved cocomelody! Great prices

I'm right around $500 before alterations. But I wanted something "different" and chose a silver MOB dress.

I did. With alterations, it came to $650. It was off the rack at a David’s Bridal. I found it in 45 minutes.

Got mine from Davids Bridal, was priced at 360.00 had a glitch online and was 225 and normally they dont do adjustments but the manager was super cool seems the dress had not even been in layaway for 24 hours... price adjustments 225 is what i paid. I dont really need alterations. veil garter and shoes wont cost me no more then 100 more. Im a penny pincher lol

You can most definitely find a dress that will work with your budget!! I wouldn’t stress it and also to help when you look I would tell the assistant that you can and will not spend more than x amount on the dress itself so when you do browse you are only showed they dresses within your price range ! David’s bridal has a good selection, online obviously does but you have to feel comfortable ordering a dress and make sure to look at all policies as to returns, exchanges and refunds..
