Anyone else putting off a honeymoon for a few months

I won't have enough PTO to take a honeymoon right after so we'll save up and take a trip on our anniversary most likely! We will do a "mini-moon" though, a night or two in a hotel.

We did, and it was awesome. It gave us something to look forward to, none of the "everything's over" blues.

Yep, we are going in December when the weather is crappy here.

I would do this...but we've chosen not to sleep together before the wedding. Honeymooning ASAP will be necessary. ;]

We are waiting until December to go on ours. My annual Key West trip is actually going to be our honeymoon this year.

We didn't wait a couple months, but we did wait a week. That little gap was totally worth it. We didn't have to rush to the airport after the wedding, and we had time to recoup before traveling.

We took a very small honeymoon and stayed at a family friend's lake house about 2 hours away for a few days. After paying for the wedding there was no money left for a big vacation. We would like to take that in a few years though.

We're waiting almost a month because it's so expensive to travel around the holidays. I'm excited to have something to look forward to after the wedding.

We don't have a honeymoon scheduled right now because we don't really have the budget for it due to wedding expenses. I think we will take a short trip a couple of months after the wedding.

We were supposed to. Now almost a year later, we haven't. We are planning a trip to Hawaii for the end of October/beginning of November which will be the honeymoon we never took.

We just got back from our honeymoon this morning. I am so glad we put it off for a few months! Neither of us could get time off in October and then with the holidays it was just too much. It was great to have something to look forward to and was just as special as if we went right away.

Our wedding is in June and we aren't going on out honeymoon till September. It gives us something to look forward to and more time to save ;-) can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll probably wait a month. It matches better with my work schedule and our top honeymoon pick will have better weather then. I'd only say, don't wait more than about 6 months! Based on what friends have told me, honeymoon closer to the 1st anniversary than to the wedding is a little anti-climactic

Yup. FH is a teacher, the only time we can go is Christmas break or summer time. So we are going to Australia in December.

We might be, depends how much we end up spending on the wedding. We're going to decide in 6 months or so.

We are going on a small state/side one right after (key west,) so we actually have that "honeymoon" feeling. I don't have the vacation time to go International this year. But, we are planning on going on a big, 3 week New Zealand anniversary trip in 2017.

We did. Leaving in just over a week!! Just wasn't in the budget to leave right after the wedding. We are heading to the snow and ski stations are waayyyyy over priced during the holidays.

We're waiting until the weather gets crappy here as well. We're getting married right before it gets nice in Seattle, so we want to enjoy all of summer here & have a getaway right when we need one.

My brother is getting married a month after us so we don't really have the time to go right after the wedding. we'll stay at the inn in the catskills for a few days after to regroup and recharge. we're hoping to take a domestic trip sometime in 2016 and perhaps an international trip/honeymoon in early 2017.

Us! My FH will be in his last semester of school, also we want to take a cruise and it only sails during June so...
