Anyone else doing/did their hair & makeup Trial for a special event?

I would love to do mine on my bridal shower day but unfortunately I will be having my shower out of town. So I plan to do it either for our engagement photos or if I do boudoir photos.

This might sound weird but I'm getting mine done the day we have our tasting. I won't be getting my dress in until May and my bridal shower will also be that month, so I decided to do it that day since I need to sign the contract and give my deposit. I really wish I could do it for my dress fitting though

Nope I'm having my Hair & Make-Up trial done on March 25th. I wanted it done in the last week of March, that way I still have time to make changes if need be!

My mom is throwing my bridal shower & it's suppose to be a surprise so I don't know when it is! I have another dress fitting on March 16th so yeah.

I have been thinking about booking mine for my bachelorette party, but then after doing the trial having the MUA amp up my eyes to suit the night!

I plan to do my wedding makeup trial for my in-laws family photo session February 23. I am thinking about asking my MUA to also do my makeup for my bridal shower on March 23, but ask for a totally different look than the wedding look.

I will probably schedule my hair trial the same day as my final dress fitting...not sure when that will be yet.

I didn't think of any of these! I wish I could do my hair/makeup for my fitting/shower, since they will be on the same day, but both are out of state. And my bachelorette party is also out of state. How far in advance should you do your trial hair? My dress doesn't come in until the end of March. My shower is April 27th so I'm going to schedule my first fitting the morning of.

I am having my final pre-wedding cut and hair trial two weeks before the wedding. Just so happens we are going to another friend's wedding that day.

Such a smart idea! Some places will let you try out 2 different hair styles/makeup looks. In that case you could do your favorite one first, and then the 2nd one for your special event... that way no one gets to see your actual wedding day look.

Too bad I could only do mine while I was in Florida last month : (

Jessica- I don't know how far out you should do it. I'm just doing it March 2 because that's when my shower is, I'm sure you could do it a couple weeks before hand and it'd be fine, as long as the person you went with does a good job! My friend had her trial like 4 days before her wedding, which I wouldn't recommend, if it can be helped.

My girlfriend does hair and make-up, and she’s doing my hair and make-up for the wedding day. I would really like her to do my hair and make-up for all the special wedding events! And we can change it up each time so I can find the perfect look. Obviously I’d pay her; I hope she’s up for it! She did my hair and make-up for my engagement photos too.

Turns out my make up trial will be right before the bachelor/ette party, but that was dumb luck.

My hair will look really nice for playing a volleyball game =\

I am doing mine the morning of my engagement pictures. We wanted to get them done in the fall but the weather did not cooperate. So we are getting them done in March. Kind of late, but oh well. it will be used as my sign in book.

Unfortunately my stylist is out of my area and I couldnt swing that. She also wont let me do it on a Saturday or Sunday because she is normally booked :/ I would have loved to have gotten some use out of the $150 look I am trying out but I guess I will have to settle with just a Friday night with my family! I am hoping maybe the hair will last a bit and I can do my fitting the next day so i can kinda see the look
