We waited a year...then i got pregnant and we decided to wait another year.

It's was symbolic because of tradition.

But here we are, celebrating 10 years happily married :-)

We had a sheet cake and didn't save any for our upcoming anniversary. We had a few pieces leftover and ate within a couple days of the wedding.

Ditching this tradition! My husband and I got married during the pandemic and couldn't have a tradition wedding. We could only purchase a already made cake from the bakery section of the grocery store. The cake was small so we didn't get to save any. We are buying another cake for our 1 year!

We did keep the top of the cake and tried 2 years later since I just found out I was pregnant in our anniversary.

It taste like frozen cake and it was more symbolic than actually tasting it.

Back then, we talk about our goals as couple and soon to be parents. It was a nice thing to do.

And if it helps, we just renew our vows on the 10th year anniversary.

Love comes with traditions YES, but also with respect, communication and growing up together.
