Maybe this is normal..or not? LOL...But being that my wedding is 12/13/14 im already scared about it being a blizzard or horrible snow or some type of bad weather on my day that will hault the wedding. An i would have already paid everyone...OH LORD let me calm down im getting worked up again...I just really pray the weather is nice enough for my day to be beautiful and everyone come out despite the coldness. Is anyother winter brides worried about the weather? Or am i just overthinking this? LOL

We have a different, but similar situation. We are booked for a destination wedding in Mexico during the rainiest month of the year in high hurricane season. Have you looked in to wedding insurance. Many plans cover abrupt cancellations. Google wedding insurance, tons of options will come up. Fingers crossed for sunny skies for all brides!

It's a very legitimate concern. I'm worried too...especially being that I live in Houston. It could be freezing cold, raining, freezing rain, humid and muggy, windy, there's just no way to know. Even with mine being less than 2 weeks away, I can't even get concerned until maybe 5 days before. The forecast can always change at the drop of a hat around here

This would be a prime reason to get wedding insurance. I kind of hope that it snows on our wedding day, if only for the pictures it would give us! I love photos where there's snow falling! Smiley smile

My entire venue is outdoors only, when my wedding week passed last year I about died! It rained in Monday and was freezing, Tuesday-Friday it was 80-85 and beautiful, and Saturday it spiked to 102!!! S0 it's no blizzard but way to put panic in a brides brain! Crossing my fingers and saying a prayer for that lovely 80!!

I was concern about the weather conditions too. So I requested that all my vendors including the venue but a "weather condition" clause in our contract. Stating that they will honor & transfer all paid money & down payments if I postpone the wedding to a later date due to weather conditions. This was my way of eliminating paying for wedding insurance but giving me peace of mind. All of them agree to it but they will only honor it up to 2 months. You wouldn't believe this year, the East Coast has been experiencing crazy azz blizzards, cold fronts & icing. I'm just staying positive & focusing on my last DIY project.

I had a blizzard two days before my wedding and everything worked out fine. Breathe - you cannot control it!

What cimes will come. I changed my date to 12/11/13 from 5/10/14 and it snowed the day before the wedding and it was cold. Thank goodness I bought a winter wrap that had a hood. I was warm and had no problem getting around. I think only slipped once and that was when I was inside the house. Just pray for a lovely day...

Have you seen snow pictures - that was one reason we wanted late November and wouldn't you know - there was a major snowstorm the weekend before and the weekend after, NOTHING (but snow piles) the day of.

Check pinterest for snow pic ideas.

I wore a fur lined cape too, and here's one sneak peek we received.

Hey my wedding is technically in the spring, but with Ohio weather I am paranoid about a blizzard! It's happened before!

I would look into wedding insurance and make sure your vendors will reschedule in the event of bad weather.

I'm semi-worried about our weather. We too are getting married 12-13-14 and in south Texas it can be freezing one day, hot the next. Last week we were in the 20s Monday/Tuesday then Wednesday on went anywhere from mid 60s to upper 70s. It's draining and I get sick every time.

Wedding insurance. I'm tellin' ya; for what it covers, even in the summer, it's worth your peace of mind. Remember Snowtober? This is my photo from my couple that weekend. it took me five hours to get home (usually it would be 1.5 hours). (Turquist photograhers in NY state)

I'm not worried. It comes with the territory. I hope it doesn't happen so people aren't stressed about travelling but if you think about it, people travel in poor winter weather ALL THE TIME. Think of how many people travel at Christmas time regardless of the weather!?

Haha, YES! I feel your fear. I'm in Texas so it could be warm and 65 or freezing and 10. I'll be fine with whatever temperature, I just don't want any ice!

My girlfriend planned a Texas December wedding. There was some crazy ice storm and they ended up with approximately about a 30% attendance rate. But people out here aren't prepared for that sort of weather usually.
