All black wedding

Michelle, on March 2, 2019 at 10:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 32

My colors are black white and gold. All black with pops of white and gold. At first I was going to have the bridesmaids wear gold and the men wear black. But I found some black dresses that I really like. And I have bridesmaids of all sizes so I think it will look good on everyone. The problem is FH thinks having the bridesmaids and groomsmen both wearing all black won't look good. Has anyone been two a wedding and the bridesmaids and groomsmen both had on black? Does anyone think that this won't look good. I looked on pinterest but I could only fing bridesmaids in black without the groomsmen and vice versa

I don’t see why it wouldn’t look good. Black is classic. It will be a lot of black, but that sounds like what your going for anyway. Maybe give the girls a gold sash/belt or have gold ties for the guys.

I think that sounds so classy! It’ll look great. Agree to do touches of gold if you can.

I think for picture purposes it may make the picture too dark HOWEVER if your photographer is a professional he/she should be able to maneuver around that. Nothing wrong with all black. I agree with the other ladies...do a pop of gold as the accent color.

My color are black, white, and silver, with hints of magenta and blush colors for the flowers. I am sticking with all black and I think it will look great! These are the boutonnieres for my guys, and then for my bridesmaid she will have something with some pops of color, so I think it will help break it up a little.

Also keep in mind that this isn’t prom and your girls and guys will not be posing together all day/night (well unless they are a couple lol). But I have rarely see tons of pictures with the entire bp together - mostly bm’s with bride and the groom with gm’s. I attached some pics that I had saved and think it will look so classy!

15 years ago my sister wore a red wedding dress, her BMs wore black (the groom & GMs did too). Looked stunning. Very classy.

Such a classy color combo! Plus, even within the black/white/gold combo you have style choices: Gothic, Victorian, Hollywood glam, 1920's/Gatsby, New Year's Eve, Halloween, etc.

I think it would look kind of cool to have them all matching. Besides black looks good on everybody.

I think all black would be super chic and glamorous. What kind of venue? If city/hotel style would look great paired with metallics or jewel tones.

My wedding was black and white with pops of red. I chose to have the entire wedding party in all black and my husband wore a white jacket. The girls carried red roses. It looked so good in the photos.
