Airbnb Venue!

Okay y'all. I found this airbnb and I'm IN LOVE! It's only $200/night so I've found our wedding reception site for less than $500!! I've already talked to the host and she is allowing us to have it here. 😍♥️

Thoughts? Opinions? Am I crazy? Lol.

Hi Jalla! Totally agreeing with the others, I have never thought of that & your AirBnB venue idea is absolutely awesome! It seems like a great, fun space for your reception. Smiley heart

How many guests are you inviting? and will you be having your ceremony there too?

I am SUPERRRRR CHEAP! (FL Public school teacher so I make like $12/week after taxes lol!) The outrageous prices of some of these venues are just insane so I was trying to think of ways to save money and thought of this idea. It's perfect because I can rent some tables and chairs, cook all of our own food, have our own alcohol and I'm paying like a tenth of what I would be at any other venue! I'm so excited lol. Thank you for the encouraging words! ♥️

I'll have about 30 guests and we haven't decided yet if we will do both ceremony and reception here or just reception 🤔😍

I think it is a great idea. I used an airbnb to book my reception venue too. We are doing a destination wedding in Curacao and my fiance and I just feel in love with the place!

Our wedding/reception is at a VRBO rental! It makes it a lot cheaper. Good luck!

Looks BEAUTIFUL!! Great idea. Only advice is to check any neighborhood sound restrictions (we ran into that with venues located in residential neighborhoods)

Its a great idea. If it were up to me, I would do the same. Just make sure that the neighbors will not have a problem witj the noise and or music even the foot traffic. You can transform that place into anything you want. Great idea.

Very beautiful! Have you checked with city ordinances for hosting events, and when loud noises have to stop? And if you'll have to rent more bathrooms? It'll be nice to have your venue before the day of the wedding, way easier for set up!

We were going to do the same thing but the city will not allow it where we are getting married, even though the owners had said yes. Please make sure that you check with them. This venue is beautiful!!

I tried to go that route!! It seemed so cost effective! We loved this historic mansion style house listed and it would have been perfect for our ceremony and reception and it had a three day minimum which is fine by me because we would have people out of state but the lady wouldn't book us so far in advance due to possible long term tennents.(No one is booked that far out...!!..!!.... And from what I can tell, she hasn't had long term tennents besides long weekends, plus $500 a night, realistically, who can afford that long term?) So, if we wanted to go that route, we would have to wait for the month to be unblocked and jump on our weekend we wanted which is such a gamble planning a wedding... I still keep checking to see if the month of our wedding is unblocked because I still want to jump on it if I could!!! But I feel like it will be open when it's too close to the wedding date...
