Will you have an after party? Why or why not?

Hahaha nooooope. I'm not a party person and I don't drink so late night bar hopping and partying just less appealing to me. If FH really wanted one I'd be open to it but we are both old people. The wedding will be more than enough for us Smiley xd

We're choosing a hotel that has a bar area we can use as our "after party" for anyone who wants to continue partying since every guest is out of town and will need a hotel to stay in so hopefully (in a perfect world), the after party people will be in the same hotel to avoid any driving.

We are and I am very excited! My venue has a fire pit so the after party is going to be hanging out around the camp fire and having S'mores! Smiley love

We may, we may not. I took it off of our website as I don't want to be obligated to anything. Our last song is at 12am. We have 6 hours of top shelf open bar and I know our friends will take full advantage of it. I don't think many people will be able to be served beyond this. I suspect my friends would get turned away from a bar at this point.

Our reception ends at 10pm. We are going back to the hotel and will hang out at the bar with anyone that wants to attend.

Our friends are heavy drinkers. We've gone out after every wedding. Our reception is at a hotel with a "night club" (as night club as you can get at a hotel). They section off a part of the club for whoever is having a wedding that night, so we will definitely be continuing the party 💃🍻

I'm not doing it, but I'm not against others doing it. The last wedding I went to had an accidental one because the hotel had a bar Smiley xd

We are tossing the idea around. Our brunch will be done by 2pm, so hitting a few bars with our guests after is definitely in the cards. More on the casual side, I suppose.

Our venue requires us to end the party at 10 and be out at 11. We'll be helping get everything packed up. I wanted to do any after party at a local bar but honestly, hair and makeup start at 9a. I can't imagine still having any energy left for that. Plus, I kind of want to go home to our fur babies and just relax at home before bed and bask in the afterglow of our day.

More than likely not, but we don't know where the night will take us! Our reception ends at 10pm because of noise ordinances. We are also getting married in FH small town where there aren't a ton of bars. Honestly, FH and I go to bed rather early and by 10, I'll be ready to spend alone time with FHSmiley winking before I fall asleep. But, never say never, we might find something to do with our wedding party, who knows.

We will be out camping for our wedding I'm sure once people start leaving our reception we'll all likely change into something comfy and warm and sit around the campfire just bsing. Not really a party but a bit of an after event.

I think we had our After Party planned before we even chose a venue! Lol.

We will be doing ours at our favorite Irish Pub with a small Buffett of Hot Apps and late night snacks. You're on your own for drinks at that point, we will not have an open tab.

In our family, it's pretty traditional for either the bride's or groom's parents to invite close family and friends back to their house after the wedding, usually without the bride and groom. I don't think my parents will be doing that though.

For our hotel block, FH and I purposely chose a hotel that had a bar so that people can party there afterward if they want, though only a few couples are actually staying there. FH and I will be staying that night there too, and will play it by ear whether we go to the bar or not.

My parents will be hosting a catered brunch the next day, for close family and friends and out-of-town guests.

I'm sure our friends and families will respectively have after parties but we're leaving it up to them at their houses/ hotels and going home to spend time together!

We are restricted to 1 am and from 10 pm no more noise outside. We decided to simply start early and party hard until 1. I believe it can be a good thing when everyone knows at 1 is lights out, then the end won't be indicated through the mood declining or people sleeping on their chairs.

FH and I talked about hosting an after-party after the wedding, which ends at midnight. FH is much more of the late-night out than I am. And I told him such, that I will probably be extremely tired and head directly back to the hotel after the wedding. However, since our OOT guests are invited to the RD the night before, I suggested having the after party after the RD. Since the wedding is not until 7 p.m. the next day, he has plenty of time to recover.

We are getting married in New Orleans so our reception is only about 3 hours. So of course we are having an after party! We are going to give a heads up to a local karaoke bar and let everyone know to meet us there. People can go home if they want but since our shindig ends at 630, they may as well enjoy the evening with some nola flair!
