after brunch wedding

Private User, on December 8, 2012 at 2:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

So I have been thinking..if you have a brunch wedding what do you do after the reception? We have family and a few out of towners but if the reception ends around 3, what do we do after?

I would say go back to the hotel and spend time with FH is what I would do!

We had an afternoon wedding (though not brunch) that ended at 4. We took more photos after our wedding ended, since we cut our photos short during cocktail hour to join our guests. We still had daylight and our photographer all day so it worked out to just finish our photos afterwards. Then after photos we went and crashed at our hotel because we were exhausted from the nonstop activities of the wedding and the day before.

Most of our guests had to travel about 1.5 hours to our wedding but due to it being in the afternoon, guests were able to drive home afterwards and not need to stay at a hotel.

Thank you Celia, my FH thought it would be nice, my family is in the wedding and I haven't seen my sisters altogether since 2005 so this is gonna be fun, we want to go to Willis Tower to the sky deck, they have a glass floor and walls hanging out from the building and we want to take pics up there which should be interesting....

We are doing a bruch wedding from 11-2. Then having an afterparty at 6:30. We chose this time because its better for our extended circle of friends to come party with us. We are paying for the bar and having appetizers catered in for the evening but you dont have to. This way you get to see all of your friends and famility and those who came in from out of town have something to do in the evening.
