African American/Black Brides: What are you doing with your hair?

Just curious as to what you plan to do (or what you did) with your hair! I'm natural and I'm looking into styles that have my hair out (FH loves it big) but I'm curious to hear what you all did, whether your hair is natural, relaxed, or if you had a wig, weave, crochet braids, extensions...anything!...

I'm natural I'm going to most likely get a sew in but I am thinking about a lace front wig not sure yet. I have 3 different styles I want for my wedding day I just have to get my dress first to see which one I'll go with

@AshleyS Yesss true. I'm debating a birdcage veil or some other headpiece that won't tangle or frizz the curl pattern.

I just want to thank you ladies for this post and all of the awesome suggestions and pictures! My MOH and her daughter (Flower Girl) are of Middle Eastern descent and have very curly, kinky hair. (For someone with totally straight hair, I love how her curls "boing" when she pulls them. She's my bestie and thinks it's hilarious that I want curly hair.) She wasn't quite sure what to do with her hair, and now I have some suggestions I can send to her. Thanks again!

I'm getting a full versatile sew-in. Probably will wear my hair up for the wedding. My best friend is my stylist so I'll trust her to chose style.

I have natural hair but I keep it under a wig 5 days out of the week. For the wedding I am having a wig made and installed a few days before and then a stylist is coming the day of. I chose a curly wig because I want big hair but I haven't settled on a style yet.

I always love this threads. I ended up just wearing my hair pulled back in a bun. Glad I did because it was hot and humid af.

I love this so many ideas. I'm natural my hair has major skrinkage though. I have always loved the way Gabrielle union did her hair for her wedding so i want something like that.

Beautiful updo probably with added hair. Its going to be in the south in June and i plan to dance all night. Having natural hair worn out and dancing will not go together unless you are wearing a fro. Love the big hair look but I don't have time for it

I loved how Gabrielle Union wore her hair for her wedding as well, and have contemplated wearing mine the same. If anything, I’ll be wearing a sew in.

Did you figure out which style you're going to have? I'm doing a wash & go soon to be hubby love the natural kinks. So i'm either doing the wash and go or a loose romantic side braid with some added extension. i'm digging both and cant decide.

My hair is natural and curly. I'm thinking like this, so it looks nice for pics and it's out of my face.

I have a few styles that I'm considering, but they're all pretty similar. I've been trying to grow out my natural hair to be long enough for what I want to do since November of last year (little to no heat, mostly in braids and when not in braids - natural.), and it's been growing great, but it won't quite be as long as I'd like. So I have a wig (that you can kind of see in my picture). I love a lot of the curls and waves, and I'm going to add a bit of 1920s flair via a large hair accessory.
