African American/Black Brides: What are you doing with your hair?

Mine will be put into a bun with a braid across it.

I did crochet twists. I loved them, but it was the first time I used the crochet technique so I didn't realize how heavy it would feel. I ended up taking them out the second day of my honeymoon, and just rocked my fro. They were a pain to go swimming in, it felt like the hair near my scalp would never fully dry.

My hair is natural and I'm a bit undecided as well on what to do. For my engagement shoot, my hair was flat ironed and then curled. The humidity totally killed my hair, so I'm thinking I should do an updo for my summer wedding. I'm digging a sleek low bun, or a twisty updo with my natural texture, like Natural Chica's wedding hair.

My hair is natural and I'm doing a sew in with a closure. I just ordered the hair yesterday and booked my appointment. I thought about rocking my natural curls but we're getting married by the water so I'm sure the humidity would cause issues

I'm torn between a wig and a sew in. I want long and big curls. So I'm probably going to do a Long and straight and then curl it with big rollers so I can flatten it again for the honeymoon

@MrsBtoBe, If I go with the low bun, a comb with veil attached at the top is probably the best option.

Outside of buns, I'm not sure how a traditional veil would look. But there will always be birdcage veils, combs, headbands, and clips to help glam up a look.

My hair is natural and I usually wear it in braids. For the wedding I am wearing a full head sew in weave. I cannot mess with shrinkage that day. Hair purchased from Mayvenn.com. I'll just starting to play with it.

ETA: I plan to have it down for the ceremony and in a bun for the reception. Cannot have all that hair on my neck while I'm dancing
