Im trying to figure out what to do with my hair. I cut my hair into like the old Rihanna and now im natural. I do not wear my hair out due to the texture and length right now. Ive had a sow-ins for the past year, due to all the money I was spending and lack or care my hair was getting Ive switched over to lace front wigs. (I know what your thinking)

So the lace front which I actually pull my edges out of, always looks ten times better than the weaves I pay 250 for! They last longer and I get TONS of compliments. This week only I have gotten about 15 compliments just from guys (who think it mine). The ladies have commented as well thinking its a sowin and cant tell its a wig even standing right next to me. They fall better, look better and dont bunch at the neck.

I know it seems ive answered my own question but I guess im still apprehensive. I wanted to know if any of you HAVE or THINKING to do a wig as well. Wants your views on a wig vs weave

Thanks in Advance Divas!

My hair is cut in a asymmetric bob and I only put about 3-4 tracks just in the front. I have never done a my whole head of weave. I change my hairstyles too much for that. I only have one wig and it's human hair I think I paid like $50 for it. I hate wearing unless it cold, it makes my head HOTT! I only wear it on them days when I don't feel like fooling with my hair. LMAO

I been taking these hair vitamins and my hair has been growing like crazy. I don't even have to put the personality pieces in the front anymore. But for the wedding I'm doing a elegant bun,so I will only need a little weave in a ponytail.

Wow you don't need to spend that much on a good weave. My sis is a weave queen and she pays 300-500 and her is always on point. Like others stated do your hair so you can be comfortable .You don't want to be dancing , which will make you sweat and have hair sticking to your face.

You are such a cute girl! You face can look good with a variety of styles....

I think you have time to do some trial runs with your stylist....take every month and get something that you might want for your wedding...bring a veil with you (get a cheap one for tryouts)

I just contacted my stylist this past week and starting in January, we are going to go through the book and see what looks good....

I was thinking the same thing Texas! Chelle maybe you can look at some pretty clips or blushers cuz you are rockin that short cut! To answer the question though, I'm adding in a few tracks myself just because I won't have the length I need by then

You don't have to pay celebrity prices to get a good weave. Celebrities get things free anyway lol. Anyway @ Chelle, why don't you wait it out since you have time and decide later. I think a weave will be fine just get good hair.

Quality hair alone is expensive! Not to mention the installation. To get a great healthy wig you have to pay the price. Beyonce, Rhinanna, Kerri Washington, Michelle Willams, Ciara are all pay for their hair and their stylist (don't get me started on Beyonce's demands for her L'Oreal hair ad).

You get what you pay for. If you want amazing hair you pay amazing prices. Even if you get it installed and styled for free the supply alone is expensive. My Fh runs his fingers through my hair and can not detect an installation. Believe me their is a HUGE noticeable difference of quality. I am positive a 250 dollar lace front will not give you as natural of a look as a custom made 4000 piece. And yes that is what they cost.

At anyrate if you have a good hairline and nice length on top and around the perimeters combined with a great stylist, I would opt for a weave or a sew-in. I have natural hair as well and my stylist uses a keratin treatment on my hair to blend.

I've only done the lace front once before and didn't like it because I hate not being able to access my scalp. For the wedding I was set to go with my own hair which is a good lenth (middle of my back) but when I had my last fitting I really didn't like how thin it was. I felt I needed more volume. At the last minute I had extensions put in on the cheap for $700 (had I gone with better hair I would have spent $1000 or more). Boston is crazy expensive for this stuff. Anywho, the extensions worked well and really none of the guests were any wiser. It looked just like my own hair but fuller. I was able to wear it through the honeymoon no problem and then took it out as soon as we got back. I say play around with various styles and do what works with your dress (and of course make sure your FH likes what you are doing because you are doing this for him tooSmiley smile Looking forward to seeing the final results
