Advice needed: cups

Emily, on December 27, 2019 at 1:45 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11
So I’m trying to figure out what kind of glasses to get for the reception.

Our wedding will be outside and will have kids so keep this in mind.
I can either get stemless wine glasses and use our circuit to personalize them. This will cost around $130
Or I can order plastic cups as below and have them personalize for the same price. This will prevent kids from knocking them over and breaking them.
I'm not sure what to do. I don't like the idea of not having wine glasses, however, I don't think our families would care. Plastic would be safer.
Would plastic cups be tacky for toasts? Help!

Are you able to order the plastic ones only for the kids? Then everyone else can get the stemless wine glasses.

I think it depends on the formality of your event and what you're using for the rest of your dishes. Plastic cups would be out of place at a formal or semi-formal event, especially if you're using real plates and flatware.

My sister had an outside wedding and was worried about glasses breaking as well. So, she bought some of the monogrammed plastic cups (which served as favors as well) & some stemless plastic wine glasses. Those who drank wine used the wine glasses & Everyone else used the monogrammed cups.

This is what we ordered for our champagne toast and for guests on Amazon. They're not personalized, but they're not likely to break and are still pretty (and reusable/recyclable). You could add a personalized sticker maybe. They also sell wine glasses:
