Everyone from my private Christian college, just about, has had a dry wedding and they've (mostly) been fabulous. Are you dancing? Dancing usually helps things to not be boring.

I went to one where dancing wasn't allowed but the couple still wanted a first dance so someone got up and announced to the pastor "they're not dancing... they're just moving with God's love!" (but then all dancing stopped).

I will say they had killer food and gorgeous centerpieces and a lot of speeches and we left early because we were just kids when we went. Sorry I couldn't be much more help than that Smiley sad I don't remember having a bad time though...

Yeah I'm having a hard time figuring out how to have fun at mine without alcohol.

I've been to dry weddings and you couldn't tell the difference. But they did have music and dancing. I know you said no dancing, but will you have music?

We're def having music. Just need to come up with a good play list.

@Christy...no dancing at all? If you play good music, with clean lyrics there shouldn't be any "crazy" dancing. Most of the people that have been invited to my wedding are rather conservative so I know there won't be any club dancing or anything.

Maybe just mood music and games?

Did a quick googling and someone suggested hiring a murder mystery acting crew and having a murder mystery night or dinner theater? Karaoke? A slide show with you and your FH from babies till the wedding?

Weelll, if you don't have drinks or dancing at a party, then it's basically a dinner party, right? So maybe you could set up some games like a horseshoe toss or Jenga or things like that, but without dancing or drinks, I imagine the party wouldn't last more than an hour or two after dinner. Then again, I've never attended an even like this, so I'm not sure.

I have been to dry weddings and since I'm not a huge drinker it never bothered me one bit. I think if you need alcohol to have a good time, you have a problem lol But like some of the other girls mentioned, horseshoes, cornhole, photobooth, etc. could be fun!

My wedding has to be dry, both because its in a church and because its a dry county. but we are having a dance floor, so its not exactly the same. im looking into having a photobooth.

So, what did other couples from your circle do? There were weddings like this before, right?

Hi! I just found this post from a while back and I am in the same position. An apostolic wedding, what did you end up doing for after the dinner?? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
