Can you guys give me some tips on what dress types would be good for me. My stomach is pretty flat for the most part. Being a 38DDD would I be able to fit into a strapless? If not what type of dress would you suggest?

Hey Tam, Girl you have an hourglass figure and I can promise you whatever you put on is gonna be FABULOUS because of that figure and throw in that your tall - Holy Mackeral you will make any aisle you walk down your runway!

I think all of the girls posting are built just like you, including me and have the same insecurities and those insecurities become exaserbated since we will be center stage all day on our wedding day. What we can all tell you is that once you find the dress, those insecurities go away. They go away before any fittings, before buying any undergarments, before buying jewelery & shoes. You forget that you are "hippie" or have big boobs, short or tall because that dress will enhance your positives and hide your flaws. And every girl here who's bought their wedding dress or have tried a ton on can promise you that you will be in awe looking at yourself in the miror when you find the right style.

Something that might make you feel comfortable (mostly psychological) is finding a strapless you love and then just adding really thin straps to it, it'll keep you from fidgeting with the dress =). My friend is a 40G and she got a very very supportive bra and a strapless dress that looked great on her and then she added the thin straps just to keep the dress from sliding at all, worked out great! I'm a 34DD and I'll be wearing a corset dress with boning, so no bra, all the support will be built in.

The dress is $700 something. I think I can get the salon to go down in price though because the actual Alfred Angelo stores offers $100 off, but I wanted to order it through this other salon that is an authorized dealer. So I'm going to see if they can honor the discount the actual AA stores give out.

IM a 40 E, I am not a fan of strapless, and i was worried because most wedding dresses are strapless. I found this gem at davids bridal, and I love it. My runner up was a strapless, and the girl said that they could open the cups for me to make sure that the " girls" did not " runnith over" lol

I'm a 38DD and I went with strapless with a corset back. I don't think any of the dresses I tried on had straps now that I think about it. All you need is a good consultant at the store, some pictures of dresses you like, and a good bra. I'm getting a strapless bra that goes down to the waist to help hold the girls up. Don't be afraid to ask for a different consultant if you don't like the first person they give you.

Thanks Wendy Smiley smile I was planning on trying on some dresses with corset back cause ive heard they are the best for bigger chested woman. Ive heard some woman have velcro tabs inserted in the dress to make sure everything stays where it should.
