Hi all, to anyone who has the time and interest in helping me brainstorm about what’s left to do, I appreciate it in advance!
We have a four-and-a-half month engagement and we have 3 months to go. Our wedding is in another state, in my fiancé’s home town. We are having a Catholic ceremony, if that matters. Here is what we have done so far:
Booked our 4 pm ceremony time at churchBooked our reception venue (includes catering)Booked photographer and DJ and met with themOrdered my dress (arrives end of August)Tasted cake samples (cake is packaged with venue)Ordered flowers to be delivered 2 days before weddingChosen bridal party and wedding colorsHave made registry (about half full)Sent out save the datesScheduled a hair/MU trial (should I just do one?)Talked with ceremony musician
Here is what I’m still aware of that we need to do:
Finalize a day of schedule Fill out DJ play list (and decide on first dance etc)Do pre-Cana (scheduled)Take dance lessons (scheduled)Decide on cake style and put in orderChoose ceremony music and send list to musician Get dress fittedOrder tuxedos?Sample catering and decide on dishes (scheduled)Order invitations and sendBook hotel roomDecide on/book honeymoonBuy wedding rings
What have I left off this list? I have a checklist on the app but a lot of what’s left is generic or doesn’t apply.
I’ve only ever been to one wedding and it was a very casual affair so I’m not really sure what normally goes on at a wedding or what people will be expecting to see.
Thanks!
