2nd (or more) time Brides are you wearing white?

Second marriage for me, husbands first. I wore ivory only because I liked it.

You'll probably hear this a lot, but wear what you want. If you tried to please everyone your dress would be the color of a rainbow.

As for the comments you think you might get, don't worry about it. Become a Teflon bride and let things just slide off of you.

This will be my 2nd and FH's first. I wore white for my first wedding and I loved my first husband and I'm very conscious about not just replicating that wedding. I want this wedding to be just as special.

For a start white for a bride is just a Victorian invention so it doesn't mean a thing.

Doesn't mean that I won't be wearing white this time around. I'm still a bride and I intend to bloody well act like one.

Second time for me, first time for FH. I do not care whatsoever what other people have to say about the wedding. I don't care how many times one gets married, they should be able to celebrate their marriage however they want to

In regards to my dress, it happens to be ivory because I am kind of pale, so white doesn't look good on me.

I'm only wearing ivory because of my skin tone, white is not a great color on me but if I could wear it I would. I wouldn't care what others thought about my choice in color I spent to many years being concerned what others thought about my apperence now that I turned 40 I'm going to start caring about what I want a little bit more

I am wearing a champagne colored gown, but if the gown had been white & I would have loved it, you bet I would be wearing it. People are going to talk about you, regardless of what you wear, I've learned not to care

This is my 3rd and FH's 2nd. I'm actually wearing ivory (so the tag says) but it's more of a eggshell white. I would have wore white if I found a dress I liked in that color. I could care less what others say. Wear what you want and feel beautiful in!!

Second marriage for both FH and I, my dress is white. I could careless what other people think. They are going to think what they want regardless of what color you wear. Its just human nature for some people to be haters.

2nd marriage for me too. I swore up and down that I wanted a white satin gown. I wore an ivory maternity dress the first time.

Fast forward to picking out my gown. Turns out I look terrible in white satin... white anything for that matter. I'm wearing ivory because it goes better with my Irish skin. If I looked good in white, you're damn sure I'd still wear it. Screw anyone who says 2nd weddings don't call for white.

It's my first marriage, but I say wear what you want! First, second, third, eighth, whatever marriage, it is your special day whether you want to wear white, ivory, red, purple, green, or anything else!

The "rule" when I was growing up (back in the Dark Ages) was that second time brides couldn't wear white, but could wear ivory. The thing about that rule is that not one guest in 100 can tell white from ivory. And these days, most first-time brides wear ivory.

We wore ivory only because it looked better with our skin tone. But if what you like is white, go for it! And if you really want to confuse the doubters, tell them with an absolutely straight face that your dress is ivory. LOL

My dress is ivory and silver. I honestly didn't even think about color when I was looking. People will always have something to say about something. I say wear whatever your heart desires!

Wear whatever you want and enjoy it-- as Miss Manners says, A wedding dress is not an advertisement of the contents inside". If anyone comments, say, "Yes, and I love it! At the wedding you can even add, "Don't you?"

I'm a second time bride and wearing black not because its against the "rules" to wear white. I want this gown so bad I can see another option for me. Whatever choice is right for each of you is the right choice don't second guess yourself.

This is going to be my first marriage (cross my fingers that it's my only one), but I think you should wear white if you want to wear white. My dress is ivory because I like ivory better than a white that blinds me, but I certainly would have ignored anyone else telling me I had to wear a bright white since it's my first wedding.

Besides, these days, brides are wearing various colours. I was really tempted by a chiffon pink wedding dress I saw once just because it looked so beautiful on the model...but not so much on me, haha!
