2021 wedding- people still wearing masks?

Claire, on May 8, 2020 at 1:29 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
So we just postponed our wedding from June 6, 2020 to June 25, 2021. To be completely honest, I thought I would feel better but I’m still worried that gatherings may be banned and people will still be afraid/not want to attend social events.

Particularly I’m concerned that people will still want to wear masks. Obviously I want people to feel safe and I know it may sound silly, but I feel like it would be really depressing to look out into a sea of people wearing masks on my wedding day. Does anyone feel the same? I’m feeling like maybe I just need to let go of my dream wedding or any wedding at all and elope because everything is so uncertain.

I think you’ll be fine. There may be a resurgence in the colder months, but by next summer I’m sure it’ll be fine. And possibly a vaccine by then.

Our wedding is May 2021 and I'm not worried at all. Don't make yourself sick over something you can't control. Smiley smile

*Searches amazon for 'black tie face masks'* Smiley laugh

I'm staying positive and planning ahead as if no one will be wearing a mask at our wedding. BUT if it means people will still come and party with us, I won't complain!

At the end of the day, I'm marrying the love of my life, mask on or off - and so will you!

I totally get your feeling Claire, you but you can't make yourself sick worrying about what June 2021 might look like! None of us are even confident what the next few months will look like 🤷

You've locked down a new date and now you have plenty of time, so I'd take a planning break and focus on something else (pamper yourself or plan some special dates at home)! You can also check out these discussions where other brides have shared how they've been coping:
