Hello everyone who’s getting married in 2020 and what you are working on.... I already book my venue last year now working on catering and photography!!!
Hi Nikki! My fiance Perry and I got engaged last Thanksgiving. We have viewed a handful of venues and are pretty set on one but are keeping our options open. Next stop will be the catering but we cant decide on what kind of food we want to have 😆 Ive been spending weekends making wedding favors and scouring pinterest for decor ideas for our Wizarding world of Harry Potter themed wedding. So far its been a blast.
Got engaged in Dec. Getting married May 23, 2020. Got the venue in place. Wedding and reception will take place there. Now, to start booking everything else.
Hello and Congratulations to all 2020 Brides To Be! He proposed Christmas Day 2018..... Wedding April 2020 (we met April 2010) already booked venue (signed contract), booked caterer (going for 2nd taste testing and cake tasting on Thursday), booked DJ (Celebrity DJ), met with dress designer and will start measurements after prom season, meeting with videographer and photographer next week. Completed my guest list 150... recieving addresses now. I have decided on my wedding party. First bridesmaids meeting March 2019. Going to the Bridal Show in Georgia in March as well. Picked my colors. Looking for his ring now. Also getting ideas for something old, new, borrowed and blue. Picked his tux. Looking for rental places for the groomsmen. Picked bridesmaids, jr bridesmaids and flower girl dresses. Also looking for Mother of the Bride Dresses. I'm so excited and while this process definitely consumes my schedule.... it's worth every precious second!! Peace and continued blessings to all the future brides and may God bless our unions.
Hello all! I’m also getting married October 2020. October is just my favorite month of the year and decided to go with it. I already got venue, photographer and videographer, DJ, hair stylist and finished guest list (270ppl) 🙈 Still looking on a great place to take the engagement shoot (live in New York but I would like something like the mountains, breathtaking backdrop) and makeup artist. Dress will come and EOY. If any of you know of any place close to the city with breathtaking view for the engagement shoot please let me know.
Our date is April 2020. We have the Venue, DJ, and Photographer booked. Currently working on a caterer. Our guest list is rather small - under 50 people - so the caterers we like aren't willing to do our wedding unless we pay for 75 people. Our budget doesn't allow for that, so I'm stressing out. I have an appointment in March to pick out a dress.
Sorry to say but a lot of the catering companies don't work if there is less than 75 people attending. I know budgets are tight but for my family and I food is very important so don't be afraid to make the effort and either invite some more people and try to make the budget work. You have enough time from now until the special event.
And omg Harry Potter themed-weddings are my favorite!! What are you two thinking for decor?

I have a lot done that won't change just the date stated, haven't booked yet but looking at January 2020! (Pretty sure we picked our venue in our heads) And finding who I want for what as well! #superorganized
We don't want to invite just random people we didn't want there to begin with just for the sake of filling 75 seats. We've already went over our budget for other things so trying to come up with more for a bunch of extra seats just doesn't sit right with me. We will figure it out. I have some time like you said.
We were planning on a buffet style through the caterer. Is there another way to do this without a caterer? I've thought of doing the food myself but I have no clue how to pull that all together.
One caterer suggested I contact restaurants for catering. I'd rather not have restaurant food for our big day. That just sounds awful.
Hi Rebecca my venue must have greenery I’m obsessed with plants, flowers nature to be exact ! I want an outside ceremony and the reception to be indoors so I’m searching for such a venue.
