Hey ladies, What cake flavors are you guys thinking of? Are you going for an old fashion look? Fondant? Or the new naked? I myself am not a big fan of fondant and have seriously been considering the naked cake. Im having some doubts being that I didn't plan on keep all tiers the same flavor. Hmmm......

Niceeeee! We will be having a summer wedding. One of my concerns is that it will be too hot as well. I don’t want people melting out of their outfits! Hahaaa the flavors sound YUM!!! I’m seriously considering having a separate cake for us to cut. After thinking about it and thinking about other events I’ve been too I think it will work out best. Hmmmm... *thinking thinking*

Lol no it isn’t bad. You can do cupcakes for the guest instead. Do you have a fave bakery treat? Maybe cheesecake? Or feeding each other chocolate covered strawberries instead. Throw the dinosaur traditions out! Lol 😊

Personally I do think a seperate cake for you to cut is best. You can have cupcakes for guests to take without having to wait for your caterer (or in some cases an over-zealous family member) to cut up and distribute. And since I hate overly sweet frosting I hate getting that corner piece with so much frosting my teeth hurt looking at it. Good luck. I'm sure it will be beautiful whatever you decide.

Not necessarily. I'm not a big cake person (we just happen to love our local bakery and they're not too sweet) so I tend to leave the cake at events. I have seen couples do a full dessert table. You can fill it with cake items like petit fors or cupcakes, and include lighter things like lemon bars, chocolaty brownies, or cannoli if that's your thing. The best part is it is completely customizable. It makes no sense to have a ton of something you're not even a fan of.

We're doing a small (6") cake for my FH and I to cut and share. Probably chocolate, espresso, or oreo with buttercream frosting. For everyone else there will be rose decorated cupcakes in 4 different flavors that we are nowhere near close to agreeing on.

Hi!!! Actually I have an amazing "sweet" lady i go to . I am not the traditional bride or just person at all. I've decided to do something different she made a cake for my Fiancè birthday that was cookies and cream I thinking of doing that flavor for me and him and a red velvet flavor for the second tier and the third was tricking I wanted to do a flavor maybe strawberry but who knows maybe I'll do a regular vanilla for the last tier my colors are rosegold and burgundy so I've decided to do a white cake with some glam not to much but just enough to bring some pop to the cake! Similar to this one

We'll be meeting with a baker next month. So many options for sure. No fondant. We're thinking naked with different layered flavors. Possibly a tres leches for a "grooms" cake with delicious fruit as that's my fiance favorite.
