2 weeks out and I need skin care advice!

Becoming A Mrs!, on August 6, 2016 at 1:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

My wedding is in two weeks and I have started to break out on my face, chest, and back! Does anyone have any tips for how to clear up my skin?

Do you think it is too close to the wedding to try a facial?

I would consult a dermatologist before doing anything drastic or anything you haven't tried before.

Not sure about chest and back but I swear by a derma sound facial. No chemicals. It uses water and electrical current to clear the dry skin off of your face. It's awesome.

Go see a dermatologist. They'll inject the pimples and get rid of them.

Deep clean with your face soap scrubbing with a wash rag. Hydrogen peroxide your face afterwards. Then moisturize with organic unrefined coconut oil. You'll break out more to start out with but that's because your pulling all of the crap out of your pores. It worked for me very recently!

Avoid sugar and alcohol as much as you can! I use emu and tea tree oil with great success. Both are antiseptic and work together to balance the skin.

Two weeks isn't much time for an appointment. I use a benzoyl peroxide topical when I break out. Usually makes an overnight difference. I use the target brand. $3 or $4. Might try cetaphil face wash and definitely coconut oil for your chest and back.

Hello Date twin...I say try the deep clean and stay away a from sugar...It could just be a lil stress and nervousness also that's causing it.

The elf zit zapper stick is amazing. It's only $1 or $2 at target. It's a roller ball that you put on individual blemishes. I love mine!!! It clears up spots really quickly.

This is skin care- rather than beauty IMHO- i honestly can't help you other than keep the skin clear and clean- and DON"T PICK ANYTHING.

If it's not clear the week of- go see the doctors to give you the injections to shrink them- but if it's a small cluster type breakout- I don't know if that will work- probably only works well on the big painful ones.

Have you done anything new? I have a hair product that causes me to break out after I use it- so I'm REALLY careful when I feel like I can take the hit on my skin- I love the product but it definitely doesn't love my skin.

Thank you everyone! I think it is just nerves and stress causing me to break out!

Thank you for all the advice. I will try some of them out!

Plus I have noticed in the past that cutting sugar from my diet helped my skin, so I am definitely going to do that in these final two weeks!

Don't be nervous Date Twin!!!!! Try to relax and stay clam (I know it's hard). I've been using a skin exfoliant and moisturizer twice a day. It seems to be workings of no complaints. Hopefully you have a great MUA ;-)

Charcoal masks are a god send if you can't get to the dermatologist.

You still have plenty of time. I would go to a trustworthy skincare specialist. If budget allows, use SK2 facial treatment masks.

Go to the dermatologist! Do NOT use any oil on your skin. Use neutral products like Cetaphil if the skin is more of a rash than just pimples. I bought an acne kit made by Murad at Sephora for under $40 and it has cleanser and zit medicine with glycolic acid that has helped me this summer with breaking out. I do not suggest a facial. It's too close to your wedding. Make sure you tell your make up artist that you are having this situation so they can plan accordingly.

I just did my final appointment with my dermatologist before the wedding.

She has me taking prednisone for 5 days prior, to prevent any possible breakouts.

I would definitely not try a facial anytime 4 weeks before. Besides, facials really can't help you with this anyhow.

See a dermo, get on antibiotics, drink lots of water and know that a good makeup artist can make it disappear the day ofSmiley smile
