1St time dress shopping and I’m so nervous!

Hey! I have my first 2 dress appointments in a couple weeks. I’m feeling super excited but also super nervous and Idk if that’s normal. I was looking online and the first store we are going to didn’t look like it’s gonna have much for me but I saw something gorgeous in their window and the 2nd store is having a trunk show for one of my fave designers. I feel like my dress will be at the 2nd store because of the trunk show but if I fall in love with one at the 1st store should I hold off and go to the other store just in case I see one that I like better? Or will that make things harder? I am super indecisive about everything and something this big feels kinda scary for me. Any tips that might make this process easier?

I only went to one boutique and fell in love with my gown. I stopped looking at that point. See if you love any at the 1st shop and it definitely won't hurt to go to a trunk show. You need to try to have inspiration pics to show what you like. Have fun! Don't worry, I think you'll know when you find your gown. I did. Best wishes. ❤

I would go to both shops. Go to the trunk show one second. I learned at trunk shows, you can usually get a discount and the designer brings a lot of dresses from their newest collection. But not to worry, you can try on dresses from other designers during a trunk show (I didn’t know that and was scared if the designer was there he/she would be hovering—they don’t!). 😊

Just keep a positive attitude. My dress appointments went horrible, since my body shape/size is unique.

You’re completely normal, Kendra! Lot’s of brides are nervous dress shopping!
It can also be exciting at the same time. You will have a blast, try not to worry
There is no harm going to both stores! You will either find something you love even more at the second store, or get confirmation that the dress in the first shop is the one, and go back and get it!!

I'm super indecisive and was very nervous about dress shopping. It was a lot more fun and low key then I thought it would be. Just try to enjoy it, try on different styles even if you think you wont like it because you never know! And bring people who are going to be support you and on the same page as you!

Def go to both shops. I thought I found my dress at the first but didn't get it and went to a different shop a couple weeks later and found my dress.
Also if your not sure about the dress sleep on it, you can always go back a few days later to purchase it.

I thought I wasn't nervous - right until it was time for me to walk in the doors! Then I got super nervous. But don't worry! Shopping for your wedding dress is meant to be a fun experience. Take your time to figure out what dress you truly want, and don't be afraid to sleep on it and think. Good luck!

Go to both stores. Don’t feel pressured to find your dress day 1, most people don’t— in fact my first consultant I met explicitly told me NOT to commit at my first appointment. Definitely go to both shops even if you love something at the first— dress regret is REAL and the last thing you want is a couple months down the line to be wondering if you settled. Just go in, have an open mind, and have fun.
