19 Days!!! - What do you wish you would've done?

I think I wish I would have kept it simple. Most of my candy bar didn't even get eaten! Like things like that we as hosts think are nice for guests but they may not even notice

Thank you! We're having a dessert bar at the wedding and my FH told me not to go crazy over it. He told me a majority of our guests won't eat a lot of it b/c they'll be full from dinner.

Date twins! We have most everything done but are finishing small things. I'm going to order our programs from Etsy this week and finalize our timeline, and I need to pick out all my Somethings!

I just ordered my bridesmaid's gifts for the day of this morning from Etsy! My FH has't decided on what he's groomsmen gifts yet so I'm going to make that decision for him if he doesn't tell me which of the two options I showed him he wants tonight, lol.

I wish I was more organized. I didn't make enough lists, organize things by boxes, etc. I forgot little things like thank you notes to vendors, etc.

Thank you for your response! I'm working on getting my boxes organized with the reception decorations and I have a binder for all of my lists, lol. I'm also thinking about putting the thank-you cards and tips for our vendors and staff in the binder so I have them with me in the bridal suite.

I wish I'd just ordered things sooner. I have been ordering things all year when I could afford to and have tons of stuff now ... just bins and bins of things in our back bedroom. I started getting really prickly because FH hadn't really purchased anything. In short, I've paid for the whole wedding!! So I made a shopping list for him of things we still needed because I'm not interested in spending any more of "my" money. It was a short list.

But of course, in man style, he waited until last week to order everything, even though I'd "gently" reminded him for the past few months to do so. So the boutonnieres came in and they were this horrid shade of bubble gum pink instead of blush. Like... Barbie pink! He returned them Wednesday and ordered new ones but they haven't shipped yet and we are 6 days away. Jesus take the wheel bc I'm gonna run this guy over! LOL. Not really but I have planned everything down to a T and somehow he has derailed me with 6 days to go! I was expecting other people to let me down but not this guy!!

I'm not really mad about it, of course, because if we don't have boutonnieres then we don't have them. I just would have liked something for our mothers to wear, so we might end up buying real corsages for them (which costs about 400% more than the boutonnieres we were purchasing for the whole party, but oh well.) It's a lesson learned. I'm glad I'm learning it before we're married.

That has been my biggest thing with my FH. He's told me throughout the entire process that we have time and I don't have to order stuff so soon. Well, for most of the things I didn't listen to him . I'm glad I didn't listen to him b/c if I would've, I would be ordering everything this week and paying for expedited shipping, lol. I'm a crazy planner and have to have everything in order and out in front of me. I have to know what's going on and make sure everything is where it need to be.

Yes! Exactly! I'm a crazy planner and had most things done well before now. I just let this little, minor thing chip away at me and it's my undoing! Why did I have to nickel and dime all of a sudden and play some trip like, "You haven't paid for anything?!" Well, if I'd just paid for these last few things they would have gotten ordered sooner and this crisis could have been avoided. Lessons learned. Now I just have to play it cool and pretend I don't care.

I wish I would have written out a more specific list of shots I wanted our photographer to get. I wrote a few down, but I overlooked some key family photos! We don’t have any photos of me and him together with either of our entire families! And we don’t have any with his grandpa! If I had thought more about it instead of just rushing to get some sort of list down, we probably wouldn’t have missed certain photos.

Thank you so much for the tip! I have a list of photos my FH and I want. I'm thinking about asking our DOC to hold onto it for us for the photographer to make sure we get all of the shots we want.

Date twins! I can't believe it's so freaking close! I'm waiting to receive a second set of hair extensions, my bridesmaids gifts, I have to write my vows! And get insurance.

I purchased the bridesmaid's gifts this morning off of Etsy and purchased our alcohol insurance last week, lol. I still have to get all of the items for the baskets we're putting in the restrooms at the venue. I'll probably do that when I'm off work Wednesday.
