12/14/19 Brides! How much do you have done?!

on April 25, 2019 at 8:16 AM Posted in Planning 0 15
Hello December brides! I’m just curious how much you have all planned by now! What’s next on your list? I feel like I’m behind but maybe I’m not!

Booked: reception venue, church, photographer, DJ, florist for 12/14, photobooth, hair and makeup artist, wedding cake. I ordered my dress too!

We have a bunch of marble lazy Susan’s to go on each table, and a gold terrarium for the top. Still need to order votives and other decor.

We still need to look into flowers and outfits for our 12/13 Buddhist ceremony!

aaaaaaaand that leaves just about everything else to still be done 😂

12/7/19 bride here! I have booked: venue/food, photographer, musician, hair & makeup, have the dress! I have started collecting gifts for my ladies, STD's went out already, invites ordered.

Still have to get flowers & figure out centerpieces. As it get's closer, I'll start getting the welcome bags & things to put inside, have our cake tasting, and any small, last minute details!

You seem to be pretty on top of it!

12/07/19 too! Hard to find a date twin on here. Thankfully my venue is all inclusive so they are doing a lot of it for me. I have "picked" out all the vendors from my venue but still have not done food tastings and/or talked to the bakery about the cake. My actual "planning" appointments with my venue don't start until June, but I have multiple Pinterest boards ready for them.

I have my dress already and I just placed a deposit on my hair & make up today.

I have my STDs and invitations, just waiting for a day where I'm not swamped to finish addressing the STDs. I've been trying not to stress myself out with everything and just take it a step at a time.

    I'm also getting married 12/14/19!

I have my venue and church booked as well as the photographer, DJ, cake, and hair/makeup. We sent out save the dates last week!

I'll be dress shopping in the upcoming weeks and starting to plan centerpieces and flowers. We're having a Christmas themed wedding so our colors are deep red, evergreen and gold.

12/14/19 bride here, and I feel like I may be behind the majority of you. I have my venue, food, photographer and DJ booked. I'm dress shopping in the next couple of weeks and I really need to figure out save the dates ASAP.

I’m so surprised to see so many other 12/14 brides. I’d love to know why you guys chose this date too. I’d love to have a GroupMe to help us all stay on top of things! ☺️

We’ve booked our venue (same for rehearsal, ceremony, and reception), booked food, flowers, band, videographer, photographer and said yes to the dress! We still lack hair/makeup and picking out a cake. We just received our Save The Dates and we’ll be getting those out hopefully in the next week. ☺️

12/14/19: Venue/food (all-inclusive), photographer, band, florist, hotel blocks, hair/makeup and rehearsal dinner/welcome drinks (for guests arriving early the day before) are booked. Engagement photos are done, save the dates are sent and wedding website is up. All florals were designed with my florist at booking, just need to confirm final numbers. Have my dress and custom accessories ordered (already have shoes), and bridesmaid and MOB/MOG dresses are ordered. Food tasting is done, and we're meeting with the venue coordinator in July to finalize. Cake tasting is this weekend. We picked out and ordered our wedding bands last weekend during a sale. Next things on my to-do list for early summer are:

    - book shuttle for guests at hotels

    - order uplighting

    - pick out/order invitations

    - begin writing ceremony and vows w/officiant (friend)

    - welcome bags, gifts and favors

    - groom/groomsmen outfits

OH, and I finished my registry about two weeks ago! Was fun to start ... and then it just got annoying. So glad that's over with!

    Hey!
Another 12/14/19 bride here. So far I've booked venue, photographer, florist, bridesmaid dresses, DJ, bartender and wedding cake. Still talking to my hair and makeup artist, the officiant and caterer but I'm pretty sure about those too. Trying on dresses this week and had STDs sent out a couple months ago! I feel pretty on top of things, we have started deciding details for our honeymoon as well. Still to do are finalizing decor/centerpieces, buying the dress/accessories, groom and groomsmen apparel and putting down a deposit on the caterer, HMUA and officiant. I'm sure there are more things I'm not thinking of right now but that's off the top of my head. Our wedding is in Florida so it won't be very cold! Where are you all having yours? What are the best tools you've used to plan?

Hey I’m also a 12/14/19 bride!! We’re getting married in NC. So far we have everyone’s attire/ accessories including MOB/MOG. We have our location for ceremony/reception, wedding officiant, food, ceremony and reception decor has been bought, photographer, cake, flowers-(have been picked out but we can’t order them just yet we’re purchasing them from Sam’s Club), my dress, shoes and accessories have bought or borrowed, invitations are already addressed and ready to sent out, we picked up our rings today, hair/makeup stylist booked, I still need to bustle my dress but I still have time for that. We still haven’t booked out DJ, funny thing is we have already picked out all our song for both ceremony/reception. Both honeymoon(s) have been booked. Some reason I still feel like there’s more to do!!

12/14: Bride here too! We're getting married in NYC during the holiday season so we sent out our save the dates in February to give everyone time to make arrangements, plus hotels can be pricey and book up quickly for that time - so that's done. Then obviously the venue (all inclusive) is set, along with photographer, videographer, DJ, florist, officiant, wedding website, cocktail hour pianist, photo booth and my dress! And the honeymoon is booked! Plus, we're not registering so now it's more about the details: I'm starting to order some decor (welcome sign, card box...etc) but still a lot to do. Having trouble finding a MUA I like in the NYC area, does anyone have a recommendation? Also deciding if favors are necessary - seems like a waste/ I can't think of anything I like... any suggestions?

    Hey date twin!

    We've got the following done:

Date and venue deposit, STD sent out, catering, DJ, photographer, cake, flowers, chair rentals, decor, dresses, tuxes, bridal party gifts, officiant, hotel block set up, registries, and website published.

In the works is shower/bachelorette weekend, rings, rehearsal dinner and menu tasting.

Later this summer/fall we'll start to hammer out details with our venue.

You're doing great I'd say! I'm not anywhere near where you are. I have a church, venue, flowers, Save the Dates, wedding dress, photographer, videographer, and photobooth. It's so overwhelming and I'm a high school teacher. I'm constantly struggling to get my FH to help me. He doesn't seem to see the urgency in getting a DJ or sending out the Save the Dates! It's getting frustrating! So many things to do and time seems like it's flying by!

Also a 12/14 bride! I have booked my venue/caterer, photographer, cake, DJ, flowers, hair, and my dress just came in on Friday! My save the dates and website are all ready to go, I just need to send them out!

We are still working on transportation and getting someone to do my makeup. We are going for bridesmaid dresses in a week so hopefully, that will be done soon!

The biggest thing that we are struggling with is where we want to go on our honeymoon. We want to stay within a budget, but also don't want to wear a winter a coat. We are hoping to start booking this by the end of the month!

Found my dress! My venue is booked, photographer: videographer is booked, food, dj, booked. I’m getting married December 14th! Maid of honor and matron of honor will be going dress shopping come the 18th. Next we will be sending out the save the dates with the engagement photos. Still so much to do but feel good about where I’m at.

Just thought I'd reach out to reevaluate where people are in their planning process and how much has been accomplished since April. I know I'm behind the curve, anyone else feel that way or have advise on what I should be doing/finalizing before Dec 14 gets here?

Well my venue burned down in June, so my date is now December 13th and is much closer to us now! We’re trying to set up a cake tasting now. Florist is paid for. We just ordered our invitations since we recently finalized our menu! and I’m going to start looking into place cards! We booked our honeymoon in Playa Mujeres as well!! 😊
