I picked my engagement ring. I know its incredibly unromantic but my fiance was prepared to spend a small fortune on it and I being someone who works with her hands all the time was afraid of hurting or messing up at 4000 dollar ring. So I picked one of the Disney enchanted rose Belle rings. Its Gorgeous and much less so if anything happens to it, it'll be easier to replace and make me feel less guilty.
