  Their portfolio speaks for itself, so I'll comment on how amazing it was to work with them. Katie sent a couple of emails leading up to the day to let us know she was excited to work with us and encouraged us to reach out with questions, which I really appreciated it. It was important to my now-husband and I that our photographer capture the day rather than us spending the day posing for a photographer, and The Pinwheel Collective proved to be the right fit. Katie and Nadiya worked their magic as the day went on, and when they did pull us aside for some posed photos, they made it fun. Seriously, we laughed a ton. In the end, we got our photos back, and I just keep pinching myself, because I can't believe how much we struck gold with The Pinwheel Collective. The photos are editorial, they are rich, and they truly captured the day. If you like The Pinwheel Collective's portfolio, I assure you their art comes with professionalism and fun.

  The Pinwheel Collective provided exceptional service as our wedding photographer. They created beautiful photographs in their unique style that I will cherish forever. One characteristic I love about TPC as photographers is that they deeply listen to their clients to tell their unique story. There are a lot of wedding photographers out there who create photos that all look the same from every wedding, photos where you could literally just paste the faces on to the bodies and it would be the same photograph over and over.
  
  TPC tells the unique story of your love and your wedding day. Another quality I love about TPC is how good they are at being "quietly present." Your wedding photographer - aside from your partner - is the person who will be around you most on your wedding day; TPC is so good at connecting beautifully with their clients so you feel a comfort in their presence, while also being able to be there without having a heavy-handed presence. They were so good at sort of camouflaging themselves into the wedding, rather than being a loud and distracting presence. I'm a photographer myself and have learned over the years that this is actually a unique ability that few photographers possess.

  Beautiful photos!! Pinwheel Collective is amazing at capturing real, honest moments in a wedding rather than only the standard poses. They are also very comprehensive and capture great photos from all aspects of the wedding, even part of the wedding we missed. They are super easy to work with and will not stress you out at all which is a huge plus during wedding planning. We got hundreds of photos within two weeks of the wedding and get to keep all of them! We would definitely recommend them for any event!

  Katie and Amelia of the Pinwheel Collective are not only wonderful, creative and innovative photographers, they are also just the kind of warm, gracious, lively, inspiring people you want for friends. In their wedding package, they include an engagement shoot which gives you a chance to get to know them and get comfortable in front of the camera, as well as a set of memorable photos to share before the wedding. My fiancé was less than excited about the engagement shoot, but in Katie and Amelia's hands, he really got into, had a great time, and felt much calmer about our wedding day which they captured beautifully as a team. We are so thrilled by our final pictures, and to have met the amazing ladies of the Pinwheel Collective. Thank you for capturing and contributing to our special day!

  The Pinwheel Collective.... Katie and Amelia.... are two of the most incredible photographers you will ever find! Our engagement photo shoot was one of the best days of my husband and I's life! We did what we enjoy most, walk around together exploring a president's house and museum... except we had two friends following us around, laughing at all of our jokes and snapping phenomenal pictures. It is not possible to have more fun during a photo shoot, wow! When we got our pictures, we were so happy we cried!!! They never had us do awkward poses, but captured the real beauty of who we are and our love. Our friends and family were blown away by them. By the time the big day came, I could hardly wait for Katie and Amelia to arrive because I felt like I knew them!!! I genuinely enjoyed every aspect of them being there. They blend in seamlessly and become part of the event. Between the two of them, they never miss a moment. We're going to have to find a reason to use them again!!!!! There are so many photographers out there.... hire The Pinwheel Collective!!!!!

  Stunning, Stunning, Stunning! That's all I can really say! They are wonderful people with a true gift - I am in LOVE with every single picture from that day. These people are so talented! You would be lucky to have them photograph your wedding, I know I was!

  We can't say enough good things about the women of The Pinwheel Collective, who photographed our wedding ceremony and reception. Amelia and Katie see everything in such a unique way, and this comes through in their photographs. They are extraordinarily good at telling a story through their photos, which are imbued with life, emotion, and humor; the relationships and interactions between people are crystal clear. A friend of ours, after looking at the photos, described our wedding as "stylish" -- and that's due as much to Pinwheel's photographic aesthetic as to the decor at our wedding. Plus, these two artists are just fun to hang out with: friendly, funny, and enthusiastic. We most love the candid photographs they took as well as the "informal" portraits of us. (We tried some formal photos in the church's sanctuary, and they are okay but not our favorites. However, the conditions were really challenging -- both the light and the amount of time we had -- and we didn't really prioritize them. So, if traditional formal photos are a priority for you, articulate that and work with them to ensure the conditions are right.) Finally, because ours was a January wedding, they worked with us when we told them we had a limited budget. They listened to what we wanted and needed and figured out a way to make it work. We know we will treasure these photos throughout our lives, because whenever we look at them, we are brought back vividly to that day.

  Katie and Amelia work as a team, so we had two photographers working at our wedding, which was essential for capturing everything that happens. They have a very raw, photo-journalistic style to their photography, which might not be for everyone but we really liked it. They are experts at capturing moods and candid moments and are not going to guide everyone into dozens of posed pictures (though they will do anything your request). These girls have an eye for catching interesting light. They aren't just photographers, they are artists!

  Katie and Amelia are a fun-loving, creative photography duo. We so enjoyed our engagement session with them. They made us feel relaxed and they were all about our laid-back approach to photographing us in our home. They were also a joy to work with on the wedding day and captured the special moments fabulously. We still look back on our photos and smile as we re-live the day.

  This is a new photography company with fresh talent. Their work is very current, they do beautiful artistic shots. If you want more traditional poses you just have to ask. They were a lot of fun to work with.
