  I love Julia and Max! I just got married 3 days ago and am so excited about seeing my photographs. If you want generic Sears-portrait studio wedding pictures, go to one of the photographers who will get your pictures to you in a week. If, on the other hand, you want ART, wait 4-6 months for Julia and Max's hand edited photographs. These two are so nice and so creative and easy to be around. I am confident in my review because their work speaks for itself.
  Unlike a lot of other high-priced photographers, they also give you the rights to your photos so if you need reprints you won't have to hire a private eye to find these guys in 30 years.

  Julia is well worth the money. She and Max truly capture the day!! Her pictures are not the cliche wedding pictures, which is why I loved them!

  You can not get better than Juila and her husband Max. They are the absolute best there is. The engagement pictures and wedding pictures exceeded any expectations we may have had. They are so down to earth and easy to get along with, they make you feel so comfortable. They made our day so special.

  Julia is amazing!! Very creative, she captures the fleeting moments that only a very well-trained eye can see...she and Max captured our wedding day far better than I could have ever imagined!

  My husband and I loved Julia and Max--they were not obtrusive but got all of the shots that they needed, and the photographs were incredible. They're not your traditional "pose and smile" photographers--our posed church group pictures turned out fine, but they're not the type to go from table to table taking pictures. I will say that they captured the most amazing moments, and I will treasure those photos forever. Well worth the money!

  The pictures were breathtaking. I did not want posey pictures. She managed to capture every single moment without interrupting the wedding or reception. I forgot she was there. Her pictures are truely artwork. The pictures on the website are just a sample of the hundreds of fabulous pictures from the wedding/reception/bridal pics/engagement pics. She is worth every penny!

  I really wish I could give as glowing a review as everyone else here, but Julia and Max really dropped the ball, in my opinion. She is sensitive beyond belief and went off the rails on me when, three days out from the wedding, I gently expressed concern that she didn't know where or when my ceremony was or how the pre-ceremony photos would go down. I apologized profusely for upsetting her and thought everything would be ok. During the ceremony, everything was fine -- though I found out later that Max went on a bizarre rant after my musician friend asked him if he wanted a mic cord to be moved out of the way. Anyway, Julia blew the six-month deadline by about a week (though what's another week after six months?), and there were some really disappointing omissions. She failed to deliver one single portrait or smiling candid of my parents (and they are very smiley people!), and she gave us only one straightforward portrait of me and my husband. She delivered zillions of pics of him dipping me with my leg in the air, but that's not the kind of forced, "zany" portrait I have any interest in framing.
  
  She did communicate that she adheres to a "documentary" style, which I like, but she did not make clear that that meant she would do absolutely NO posed pictures outside of the post-ceremony portraits. Just a few images of my parents, my brother and me, or my friends looking at the camera would have been nice. Considering her high fee, I'm still really disappointed in these photos. There are a lot of beautiful shots, but the glaring omissions are too great for me to recommend her.
