Well - aside from getting married. But truly, Traven and Katie were so pleasant to work with, and did such an amazing job capturing our special day. Traven was always willing to answer questions and schedule meetings/chats leading up to the event. His demeanor and enthusiasm for the work he does made us even more excited for the results! Traven provided us very early on with a template shot list which was incredibly helpful, my husband and I were able to make sure we got all the family photos we wanted and plan out each group photo. Then, day of, Traven worked well to keep us on our timeline, and when we were running behind, he moved efficiently through the shot list to get us back on schedule for the ceremony - it was truly impressive. The best part, though, is truly their candid photos throughout: getting ready, ceremony, second line, dances, reception. We now have so many amazing organic moments preserved forever (I’ve maybe cried more than once looking through our album, seriously), and we are so grateful for Traven and Gris Gris Photography!

Ahead of the wedding, Gris Gris helped us establish the best timeline for our ceremony based on sunset, and had an excellent set of planning templates to make sure everything went smoothly the day of.

We did a quick round of portraits before the ceremony and asked for lots of documentary-style photos during the ceremony and reception. The lighting and exposure were just what we wanted for the finished look. Gris Gris was super accommodating of the shots we wanted, flexible with our atypical ceremony, and were just all-around pleasant to work and spend the evening with. We got preview images within a couple of days and a clear timeline for the full batch of edited images.

We worked with him for our engagement photos, just had him photograph our small wedding, and are having him come back for our bigger event next year - he is absolutely incredible to work with! He dealt with MANY changes in plans and was always so accommodating and patient with me every step of the way.

I cannot rave enough about Traven/Gris Gris Photography. Traven shot my wedding in September and I am over the moon with his gorgeous photographs and how easy he was to work with. Traven was thoughtful and accommodating and he made every single person feel comfortable. Not to mention the photos are STUNNING! Gris Gris photographed our wedding and we could not be more happy. Traven (the photographer) was on point. He was collaborative, adaptive, creative, and a pleasure to be around on our big day. Our friends and family later commented that the photography team seamlessly blended into the wedding. We have excellent pictures of the venue grounds, wedding moments, and reception festivities.
