  Gris Gris Photography deserves 6 out 5 stars. Traven Stout owner and operator made things effortless on our part, which was a huge relief for my wife and I. Traven was punctual, respectful, efficient, and has a natural ability to capture amazing photographs. We received our pictures promptly and couldn't be happier with the final product. I cannot recommend this company enough!

  Absolutely Perfect

  Don’t look any further and book Traven right now!!! We worked with him for our engagement photos, just had him photograph our small wedding, and are having him come back for our bigger event next year - he is absolutely incredible to work with! He dealt with MANY changes in plans and was always so accommodating and patient with me every step of the way.
  
  I’m obsessed with all our engagement photos and the preview pictures we just received the next day after our wedding are stunning. My husband and I are super awkward and clueless when it comes to photos and Traven not only made us feel comfortable but I’m unsure how he got us to look so perfect!
  
  Photos aside, he’s just one of the kindest people and I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you Traven for everything!!!!

  phenomenal photographer and so easy to work with

  I cannot rave enough about Traven/Gris Gris Photography. Traven shot my wedding in September and I am over the moon with his gorgeous photographs and how easy he was to work with. Traven was thoughtful and accommodating and he made every single person feel comfortable. Not to mention the photos are STUNNING! The way he captures light, emotion, and mood in a single shot is beyond compare. 10/10 would recommend.

  It was a joy to work with Traven!! From calls leading up to the wedding, the day itself - he totally captured exactly what we wanted. He was so pleasant to deal with, we were totally at ease and he helped us enjoy the day. We are just thrilled with the photos!!

  Excellent stylish pictures

  Gris Gris photographed our wedding and we could not be more happy. Traven (the photographer) was on point. He was collaborative, adaptive, creative, and a pleasure to be around on our big day. Our friends and family later commented that the photography team seamlessly blended into the wedding. I particularly enjoyed Traven’s ability to manage getting though the list of portraits we needed and his suburb candid shots. We have excellent pictures of the venue grounds, wedding moments, and reception festivities. All the smiling moments he captured with our friends and family will be treasured for generations in our family. Traven truly went above and beyond any contractual requirements; you could see his passion for his work. I am beyond happy with the price and quality of Gris Gris. Just last week, six months after our wedding, my mother is still unable to pick a photo for her desk office because she “loves them all.”

  Perfect, relaxed photog + Beautiful Photos

  Traven did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! He made us super comfortable which shows in the photos and he took all the important pics without overwhelming us with hours of pictures before/after the ceremony. He captured so many great candid shots of our friends and family having a great time!

  Master of lighting

  We couldn't have picked a better photographer than Traven for our wedding! We wanted a lot of candid, action shots of everyone having fun, and we knew after seeing his portfolio that he was the right person for that.
  
  Traven showed up early and was ready to go on time when the bridal party arrived. He was really easy going with all of my family and friends, and our photos turned out amazing! He really captured the whole event so well!! Everyone looks so happy, and the sequence of photos is really a beautiful reflection of the night's events.
  
  In addition, he kindly gave us a sneak peek of our photos a week after the wedding, and when we asked for a few more, he obliged. He even finished our whole portfolio earlier than expected! We highly recommend Traven if you are looking for a talented and professional photographer!!!

  Traven is the kind of superbly gifted, detail-oriented photographer who will capture not only the moment when your soon-to-be husband starts to read his vows not to you but to the audience (in the fashion of a book report) but also the micro-moment within that scene in which you lock eyes with your best friend who is officiating to decide what should be done about this amusing, heartwarming gaffe. Traven will find the beauty in the doorway on the back porch of your family home and turn his curious eye on the picture of your grandfather that's hidden away in the locket you're wearing.   Traven is a seriously gifted photographer. He was professional, prompt, fluid with changing situations, and took incredible photographs to document the evening. Its clear he loves his work and that made him all the more pleasurable to work with. We could not recommend him more :)

  Finding Traven felt like finding a shining light of creativity and spunk in a sea of posed and tired wedding photos. His documentary style was JUST what we were looking for at our courthouse ceremony and BBQ reception. He captured so many beautiful moments from angels that were just STUNNING. He also got some beautiful shots of our families at the ceremony and the standard group shot that our mothers wanted looked gorgeous. He does a beautiful job of capturing important scenes without BEING seen and I think that made all the difference. Unbelievable professionalism and a willingness to work with our schedule and needs. All around great guy, fabulous experience, and breath taking results.

  Traven is by far one of the most impressive photographers I’ve come encounter with. He knows his lighting and angles better than most. I knew he was creative and talented so I simply told him to have fun and and do whatever to get the best shots. I can’t help but brag about him to everyone because there isn’t a single picture that I don’t like.

  Traven did an excellent job. My wife and I booked him for our Cajun wedding 10-17. We did the obligatory family photos, which were lovely, but our favorites were the reception photos. He really captured the spirit of the band and our guests truelly enjoying themselves. All of our guests had compliments about how friendly he was to everyone. Very nice and professional man with a true talent for photography. He helped us maximize our budget by suggesting things I didn’t know were possible, like the first look photos. You will not be disappointed!

Working with him was very easy as he responds promptly to any email, phone call or text immediately. He also gave us options to maximize our budget, such as doing a first look (which were my favorite pics). He captured photos of everyone, especially those that are the closest to us. I would highly recommend him to any bride, no matter the budget or venue!
