Daryl and Elizabeth at 1216 Studio were the absolute best and made us feel so seen on our wedding day! They made it such an easy decision from the beginning by being so responsive and making it feel personal. On the day, they made sure to capture all of the shots we wanted (even remembering some I forgot about). They definitely made us feel like we had known for them a while so I was completely comfortable during all the photos - which are STUNNING. If you want photographers who make you feel like friends, make it super easy to get the best shots, make sure to get all the shots you want, and find incredible scenery/angles for great photos - I highly recommend 1261 Studio!!

We cannot believe how big of a jackpot we hit when we chose 1216 Studio to photograph our wedding. You can look at their website—the talent and technical skill are apparent—so instead, please allow me to tell you about this incredibly cool duo that documented our best day ever.

My husband and I decided on April 1, 2015 that we wanted to elope (No April Fools!). With no more than about 3 weeks to plan, I scoured the internet looking for the best wedding photographer in New Orleans. Right away, 1216 Studio rose to the top, and I when I emailed them, Daryl’s response was timely, professional, and helpful.

Fast forward to the day before the wedding when we drove into NOLa, wedding dress and last-minute checklist in tow, we pulled up to the studio for a “quick” consult. We wound up staying for well over an hour talking to Daryl and Elizabeth. They wanted to know all about us, and we learned a lot about them, too. They were such pros at teasing out the information they needed, it was less like a consult and more like catching up with old friends.

On our wedding day, they showed up at our hotel, and it was pure magic. They assessed the landscape so effortlessly and quickly, and they have SUCH a way of orchestrating the most beautiful shots, without making it feel contrived in any way. D & E did SUCH an amazing job of not only capturing the moments that made our wedding day so special, but CREATING the perfect moments to bring the joy we felt to life.

Imagine all of the wonderful, precious memories you make on your wedding day. The anticipation, love, smiles, tears, joy, and elation. Now, imagine all of them being captured beautifully, by people who you’d swear had been your friends for years. When I look back at my wedding photos, I see so many moments that I couldn’t fully appreciate that day, but that move me to tears nearly every time I see them now. That’s so much more than we knew to hope for; but it’s exactly what we got from 1216 Studio.
