AMAZING duo to work with!!

Daryl and Elizabeth at 1216 Studio were the absolute best and made us feel so seen on our wedding day! They made it such an easy decision from the beginning by being so responsive and making it feel personal. On the day, they made sure to capture all of the shots we wanted (even remembering some I forgot about). They definitely made us feel like we had known for them a while so I was completely comfortable during all the photos - which are STUNNING. If you want photographers who make you feel like friends, make it super easy to get the best shots, make sure to get all the shots you want, and find incredible scenery/angles for great photos - I highly recommend 1261 Studio!!

Loved them!

Daryl and Beth were fantastic. We collaborated regarding what kinds of shots we wanted, gave some preferences and then they worked their magic. They were creative, suggested interesting shots and made sure to provide feedback during the whole process to make sure we both looked our best. They were very active the entire ceremony and reception making sure to get shots of guests and us partying on the dance floor. We got a beautiful collection of first look photos a few days after the wedding and then we are expecting our final images within 3-4 weeks. I would 100% recommend hiring 1216 Photography for anyone looking for a photographer in the New Orleans area.

Made a magical day more magical!!

Daryl and Elizabeth have to be the best decision we made for our wedding apart from marrying each other. They were so lovely and kind and professional, they fit themselves seamlessly into our day, and I cannot begin to say enough about the absolutely stunning photos they blessed us with. Honestly, they would have been worth twice what we paid for them, and if we ever have a vow renewal, they will be the first call we make. I also want to mention for any other queer couples that they were absolutely wonderful and accepting and supportive of our queer wedding.

I’ve told everyone I know who gets engaged that Studio 1216 is the best decision they can possibly make for the kind of photos they’ll cherish forever. Thank you, Daryl and Elizabeth, from Nikii and Jessica!! Our wedding may have been in 2019, but 5 years later we cherish our photos and the memory of having you with us on our big day!

Amazing Quality Work

I found out about this lovely photography couple when my brother and sister in law got married and I just knew I needed them for my wedding! the quality of the photos were absolutely amazing and every picture that we knew we wanted on our special day they made sure we got it! from start to finish they captured our entire night. A fairytale!

Darryl and Elizabeth were a dream to work with! I did my bridals with them in New Orleans and they were easy to work with, communicated well and efficiently. They were even better for the wedding! My husband described them as “top tier” people. My dress had a button malfunction and Elizabeth was right there every time I needed to re-safety pin it. They were so amazing and lovely. Would absolutely recommend!

Daryl & Beth are very professional!

We loved working with 1216 Studio. Daryl and Beth made our wedding a great one to remember with the amazing quality of images.
They did my bridal session and they captured the best images! Everyone who has seen them, loves them. Best part Daryl captured a few with my parents, brother and my fur kid to always remember that day.
The wedding day, starting with prep, Beth arrived on time and captured great memories of the bridesmaids and my flower girls and the ones with my parents I will cherish forever. The ceremony and reception pictures are beyond amazing!

The day of our wedding they were like family!

We had to change our schedule once or twice and they were very accommodating to this. They captured things that I would have never thought about. I believe looking at my pictures I can see exactly how my whole wedding day went without skipping a single second. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants amazing pictures, and to capture the day/night.

Beth and Daryl are fun and professional!

I can't say enough about our experience with Daryl and Beth! We had originally booked them for our elopement in 2020 but covid had other plans for us! Daryl and Beth honoured our price agreement 3 years later (unlike our officiant who doubled her pricing despite being paid in full and promises to honour our contract) and did such an amazing Job with our photos! They were extremely accomodating when we asked last minute if they would be willing to record the ceremony for us as well as helping us pick the perfect spot in City Park for the big day! They were generous with their time leading up to the event and were all around amazing to deal with! I'm so glad my internet searches from Canada lead me to them! We can't wait to have some blown up images of theirs hanging on our walls for many years to come! Thanks for being so amazing you guys! ❤️

The Best Ever!

First and foremost, Daryl and Beth are super genuine people who make you feel right at home when you're with them. They treat you like a friend, not a customer, which allows you to relax and be yourself making for the best pictures. Not only are they professional photographers, but they were also great at advice on other wedding necessities, which helped make wedding planning less challenging. There is no need to stress out trying to prepare beforehand. You can show up with as many or as little ideas as you want for photos. They will take any ideas you have and make them perfect, but they also have so much experience that they know exactly what makes a perfect picture and will guide you the whole way through if you prefer. Most importantly, no idea you have is too difficult, goofy, or inappropriate for them. They know exactly how to capture any type of picture you want, and will laugh along with you while capturing the funniest moments. One of the most impressive things is their ability to capture candid moments when your genuine emotions are on full display. There are so many amazing pictures they captured of us just being ourselves when we weren't even trying to pose. These ended up being some of our favorites (although all the pictures they took were incredible). I highly encourage you to choose 1216 Studio as your Photographer so that your special moment, just like our own, is a dream come true!

Loved working with Beth and Daryl!

It was so fun and easy to work with Beth and Daryl throughout the planning process and on the day of our wedding. Not only did they take so many wonderful photos, but they also did so much to make the whole experience so special for us. My now husband and I are usually a little awkward in front of the camera, but Beth and Daryl were always there to offer guidance and reassurance - they made the experience so comfortable! We also loved that they would model poses for us as a couple themselves (it was so cute!!)! Overall it was such a pleasure working with 1216 Studio - Daryl and Beth are wonderful photographers and the kindest people!

Look no further!

We fell in love with Daryl and Beth’s work from the moment we say their website. I realize this may not be enough for everyone to make such a big decision but we knew exactly what we wanted our photos to look like. Daryl and Beth were so professional and so accommodating from beginning to end. They held our hands and made recommendations along the way when we weren’t sure about the things we wanted or didn’t want. Fast forward to our wedding day—-it seemed like everything went wrong EXCEPT the photography! I was upset, my husband was upset but Daryl and Beth managed things well and still managed to take the most beautiful photos ever!! Once we got our photos back we were in absolute shock. Amazing wedding photography

Daryl & Beth are the dynamic duo couple of wedding photography! They went above and beyond to ensure that not only every aspect of our wedding day was captured, but also to ensure that everything stayed on track on the day of the wedding.

We planned our wedding before COVID hit, and unfortunately once it did, we decided to delay it for a year— Daryl and Beth were courteous enough to allow us to change our date at no additional cost.

The wedding photos themselves are amazing! All of the very special moments are captured, but the true highlight is how they were able to capture the vibe of the dance floor! Our wedding was a party party, and it shows in the photos. We couldn’t be more pleased!

So happy with our experience with 1216 Studio!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about working with Daryl and Beth for our wedding. We held our (postponed) wedding as a destination wedding in the French Quarter, and they were one of the only vendors we had a chance to meet in person. Leading up to the event, they were super responsive and helpful in assuring us they knew the venue, the other vendors and our vision, giving us peace of mind that everything would go smoothly. On site they took charge of the run of show, keeping things moving to ensure we captured all the shots we wanted from start to finish. We are so pleased with our photos (nearly 3000 of them!), all of which we retain printing rights to. That was super important to us, because we didn’t want to limit the amount of images we could print, share and display forever. In a city with countless talented photographers, I would hire Daryl and Beth again in a heartbeat!

Truly Amazing Photographers!!!

Very happy bride!

Daryl and Elizabeth were great and made the flow of taking all those awkward family pictures into a fun time. Once our family pictures we done, they drove us around the French Quarter to take pictures at some of our favorite spots. They also recommended some beautiful locations they knew while we were out. They borrowed us from the reception several times throughout the night to take pictures in different lighting as it got darker. They were just fun people, which made us have more fun on our day. If we’re ever in NOLA again needing a photographer, these are the two we’d call. Highly recommend them for your photography needs!!

The Perfect Photographers for Our Perfect Day

I'm not quite sure where to start in putting into words how amazing Daryl and Elizabeth were to work with for our wedding. We live in Nashville, so I didn't have a chance to meet with them before the wedding, but through everything this year they were always there to see what dates were available when we had to reschedule, give me ideas for great pictures, and to keep me calm, cool, and collected that everything was under control. Honestly, on our wedding day (and with a groom that doesn't love pictures) I couldn't have been more thankful they were there. They fit right in to our family and friends dynamic and were there to capture every moment!

I cannot recommend them enough and I know for SURE when we're in New Orleans and need pictures taken, they will be the first ones I call.

Captured our special day beautifully

There are so many things to worry about for a wedding, but 1216 Studio ensures that your wedding pictures will not be one of them! These guys did an amazing job working with us on our wedding day. They gave great directions and let us know exactly what we needed to do. They were flexible on locations for the day of (hotel+venue), made sure we got the pictures we really wanted, captured everything perfectly, and really made us feel special and unique. The wife could tell I was super nervous and she helped me relax and laugh while getting ready. On top of all of that, they are so kind and willing to work with you on packages to personalize it for you and your family. We mostly communicated through email, and to get all of the pictures and the album took some time (Covid, our procrastination, etc), but everything was 100% worth the wait! If I need a photographer in the future, I will definitely use them again! I honestly can't say enough good things about this team!

Fantastic photographers!

We are so lucky to have found Daryl and Elizabeth to do our engagement photos. They took SO many good pictures of us in our 30 minute session and the editing came out beyond fantastic. They had such a good mix of incorporating some of our ideas with theirs, and they took some fantastic pictures of us with our corgi too! I can’t wait to use all of these for our save-the-dates, it’s definitely going to be hard to pick between them as they are all so good!

Daryl & Elizabeth are amazing!!! From our first phone conversation I knew that's who I wanted to capture our wedding. I told them I didn't want too many posed shots but I wanted pictures that could be in an editorial and they delivered. They were with us all day but were never in the way. Best wedding photographers in New Orleans

I cannot express fully how wonderful 1216 Studio wedding photography were for our granddaughters wedding. The time and extra effort they took to capture every precious moment was noticed by even our guests. I cannot wait to see the beautiful pictures they've captured during this happy time for us.

Every request we made was done with such ease, and we were never made to feel like we were in the way, or bothersome. They were not just photographers, they fit in like guests and family. No wonder they have won so many awards!

The most amazing photographers!

One of the best decisions I made was choosing 1216 Studio as the photographers of my wedding. From the moment they arrived until the moment my wedding was over, Daryl and Elizabeth were at our sides helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. They not only took our pictures but they helped the day run smoothly. A few days before my wedding they sent me a list of things I would need and an itinerary for the day. This was a life saver! (My wedding was the first time I was ever on time for something ;) ). They had a plan or solution for everything and anything that came up. I did not have to stress about ANYTHING I just enjoyed my day. They took the time to get to know my husband and I and truly captured our personalities. Excellent service, wonderful people.

I cannot speak on our photos as we haven't gotten them back yet. However-I imagine they will be as magical as advertised on their instagram and website! What I will tell you, is you are seriously missing out if you do not hire Daryl and Elizabeth as your photographers. The most important advice we received prior to getting married was "spend the money on a photographer", you will not receive quality work for a budget photographer you've found on craigslist. 1216 is very reasonable for the amount of work they put into your day. They both arrived promptly when they were supposed to day of, had literally the entire day planned out for us (they said jump and we said how high). This alone took a ton of stress off our backs! Plus, they're very cool! They had plan A, B, and C for weather concerns, kept us in the loop, communicated frequently, and honestly we had a great time hanging out with them. They made sure that we had every shot we wanted, and added extra fun shots we didn't think of, they provided us with a schedule prior to our wedding, and really took care of our needs. They went above and beyond. Awesome people.

A Million Stars

There is no one that would have ever been as great as they were.

If I could rate them a million stars I would. They were professional but fun and made us so comfortable. They did our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and I just can't even imagine them being more perfect.

Elizabeth helped me with so much and was always there for me. Daryl always the one to make you laugh and help you relax a bit when you're feeling uptight.

I would suggest them to ANYONE I ever meet and would tell you you're crazy to consider looking anywhere else.

Amazing photog duo!

Love, love, love! I was hesistant at first because I didn't know exactly what I wanted - there's so many to choose from - but SO glad we chose them! Daryl and Beth were referred to us by our wedding planners and booked we met them. They're super easy going, know exactly what's going on, gets to know you, responsive, and accomodating. We did engagement photos to get to know them before the wedding. They made us comfortable the whole time and even went a little over time just to get all the shots we wanted - SO many ideas. Aside from a wedding planner, they will be the ones to make sure you everything on time, get things done, and that your dress, veil, tuxes, boutonnières are flawless. Beth even helped me decide on earrings to go with my wedding dress as I was getting dressed, ha! If you want a certain picture, speak up, they'll be more than happy to make it work! We got married on one of the busiest days in the Quarter and they still made sure everything went as planned and caught every single crazy moment!

Absolutely amazing!

Beth and Daryl are absolutely amazing!!! They really went above and beyond for us!! They were so easy to work with and flexible to meet our needs!!! It felt like we were working with our friends the entire time!! They worked well together so that my fiancé and I wouldn’t see each other until I walked down the isle. Beth helped me out so much when we were preparing for the wedding, it was great having someone who knew so much about weddings there with me!! And Daryl saved the day when our departure rental did not show up, none of our guest even knew that anything had gone wrong!!! They are the best!!! And I can’t say enough about our wedding photos!!! They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! They look like something out of a wedding magazine!!!! They captured everything, I get to relive my wedding day every time I see them!!! I LOVE our photos!!! I’m so happy that I chose 1216 Studio to capture our special day!! Hands down, they are the best photographers in town!!!

When I tell you these are 2 of the most awesome people my husband and I have ever met, I MEAN IT! To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. We never felt like we were dealing with "vendors" at all during our wedding day. We felt like they were part of our wedding as friends. So professional, so responsive and SO AWESOME!!! Amazing photographers!

Daryl and Beth were amazing from the very start. When meeting with them in their cute studio in August to discuss our wedding, we knew from the start that they were going to be amazing to work with. They were so organized and knowledgeable about the French Quarter and our venue that it made the rest of planning so easy. It was a bonus that they were a duo and we were able to meet both our photographers. When our wedding day finally came in February they were amazing! Having our photos taken was a little nerve wrecking, but Beth and Daryl made it so comfortable. They were everywhere taking photos and were able to capture so many great moments! We love our photos and couldn't be happier that we had the chance to work Daryl and Beth!

Amazing!

Darryl and Elizabeth are not only a match made in heaven but they are a match made in the photography business!!! We stayed in constant communication and 4 weeks leading up to the wedding we had a specific meeting just to make a timeline. I can't say enough about Beth and Daryl. My mother was a wedding and portrait photographer for 25 years, so photography and high quality photos are super important to me, and I may be a bit of a tough critic. Beth and Daryl, who own 1216 Studios, were professional, funny, caring, and really know what they are doing. We felt so comfortable with them and they made those awkward moments during photos seem like second nature. We met with them prior to our engagement photos and hit it off right away. Our engagement photos came out amazing - we used two shoot locations. On the day of the wedding, they were with us for the whole day, starting with prep and did not leave until the night was over. Cut to the photos - OMG. They are amazing! They took a couple thousand photos and every one of them is frame-worthy. They captured all of the best moments and made sure to be there throughout the whole day. Leading up to our big day, they were super responsive, worked really well with our planner, and gave us a lot of direction and advice on the setup of the day. If you are looking for a photographer who you feel comfortable with, can laugh with (and at sometimes!), and just enjoy their company while at the same time getting some unbelievably beautiful photos, look no further. Daryl and Beth are it!

As Mother of the Bride, I can promise Elizabeth & Daryl to be the most talented, honest, loyal, dedicated, modern/classic/creative, hardworking and fun-loving couple you could work with in the city of NOLA for your wedding and bridal shoots. You may find many good photographers, but I assure Elizabeth and Daryl are the most dedicated and reliable.....they were there for us on 10/7 while "whimpy" storm Nate scurried out of NOLA quickly; almost ALL OTHER VENUES & VENDORS were cancelling weddings all over the city, 1216 Studio were the first to call us SAT am to assure us hurricane or not, they would be their to photograph our daughters wedding and they were...any mother or father can understand the importance of having attentive & committed vendors and especially on a day like 10/7/17 when a hurricane is threatening to destroy your daughter's most treasured day. They even offered to return at no charge on Sunday if we wanted some outdoor shots not available to us on Saturday...amazing work ethic and kindness. Because of Studio 1216 and Hotel Monteleone, who also made things happen to make our special day possible, we were the ONLY night time wedding to take place in New Orleans (no thanks to the public officials who could have lifted the pointless curfew hours earlier as the storm changed courses). Amazing photos, extremely responsive the entire year prior to the wedding each time I called or emailed; creative, always flexible; never rushed during photo sessions....anything we needed or asked for, they were willing to accommodate. I promise, this couple is a FIRST CLASS team that will not disappoint. We are eternally grateful to Daryl & Elizabeth....true professionals and now our friends.

I cannot express enough how much I love Daryl & Elizabeth's work. Before I contacted them I could tell by their website that they were experienced and professional photographers. Then once we met with them and they photographed our engagement shoot we knew we had hit the jackpot. They have an infectious energy that really makes the taking the pictures a great experience. Their eye(s) for detail and artistic expression are unmatched a truly comes through on every single picture. We could tell that they really understood our personalities and the theme of our wedding and the pictures are the proof. We have so many amazing pictures from our big day and are so pleased we chose 1216 studios to capture some amazing moments. Our only regret is that we didn't add-on the videography!

My husband and I knew from the first meeting with Daryl & Elizabeth that we wanted them to be our photography. They were so helpful and easy to work with the entire time. They didn't even mind getting rained on when we were out on our boat taking engagement photos and a summer storm decided to roll in. They even continued taking pictures in the rain. And now those are some of our favorites! They are so very talented and are very passionate about their work. We really appreciate that. We also had Daryl's brother do the videography. Daryl and Elizabeth were an absolute dream to work with! During planning they were so helpful with recommendations and took great care of us as we were planning our wedding from out of state. Great communication and amazing customer service. They are AMAZING!!

The wedding day would not have gone as smoothly as it did without them. Their help with the timing of the day was so much appreciated, and they were so fun to work with! One of my favorite parts of the day was walking around the French Quarter taking our bride/groom photos with them. It was just us and the 1216 team and it was just like they were old friends of ours!

I could not be happier that we had them as our photographers and would recommend them to anyone I know who is getting married in the New Orleans area!

I booked 1216 for my engagement and wedding photography. From the minute I spoke to them I felt a connection. I knew they were our photographers. When I started wedding planning I knew that I didn't want traditional stand still smile until your cheeks hurt wedding photos. I love creativity and 1216 studios delivers just that. Darryl and Elizabeth are a husband and wife team (which is adorable within itself) who truly has an eye for beautiful photography. Every time I spoke to them I felt like I could give them creative control to make me and our wedding look beautiful. Due to situations beyond my control my wedding did not go off without a hitch but Darryl and Elizabeth adjusted quickly and accommodated me every step of the way. I truly can not thank them enough. I'm looking for another reason to book them again!

1216 Studio made my wedding day absolutely AMAZING!! Daryl and Elizabeth truly captured all the amazing moments of my special day. My husband and I had a really small wedding with only our parents and siblings present. I had my wedding at a French Quarter restaurant and I really wanted my pictures to reflect a New Orleans/French Quarter wedding. Because I didn't have a bridal party, I didn’t really expect to have a “fun” pre wedding morning, However Darryl and Elizabeth were so amazing and so genuine that I had the best pre wedding turn up ever. Elizabeth kept me calm and comfortable as she captured intimate moments with my mom and I. She also kept me laughing. There was a moment where my mom needed help getting me in my dress and Elizabeth totally stepped in and offered assistance ...all while taking pictures!! Elizabeth wore so many hats that day...she was my photographer, my confidant, and wedding expert (I had no idea how to wear my wedding band and she quickly told me the band is closer to the heart...I absolutely loved her!).
Daryl was just as fun. When he left my bridal suite to go take pictures of the groom, he gladly obliged when I asked him to deliver a tequila shot to my awaiting groom. After my brief wedding ceremony, Darryl and Elizabeth took my husband and I on a photo shoot throughout the French Quarter and it was absolutely EPIC!!!! Not only do they know how to capture the best shots, they know how to have a good time!!! We had soooo much fun and they captured all of these priceless moments. If I had to sum up a description for 1216 Studio, I would have to say that they take amazing photos while totally blending in with the wedding party. They are sooooo nice and genuine that my family thought that we were all old friends. The pictures that they capture are simply captivating, artistic, and organic. I cannot thank 1216 Studio for my amazing pictures, but also for their wonderful work ethic and personalities. I am BEYOND pleased!

Daryl and Elizabeth were beyond amazing. I can not recommend them enough. From our very first email conversation, they were quick to respond and really worked with us on our limited budget. They tailor fit a package for my husband and I and really made us feel comfortable with every step in the process. At our wedding, we hardly even noticed their presence, they were like shadows, capturing our most intimate moments without us even knowing they were there! Daryl and Elizabeth ( 1216 Studio ) are the most professional and personable photographers we have ever met with. They have a true talent at capturing the most beautiful moments on film. They are creative and have great ideas for photos, but they are also wonderful at making sure to listen and capturing the clients ideas as well. Their patience, friendliness, and ease at which we could contact them is the reason we had them do our engagement and wedding photos. My husband is truly not one with enough patience to take photos, but Daryl and Elizabeth were able create an experience that felt more at home and comfortable rather than being in a photo shoot. I I had seen 1216 Studio's work for a mutual friend's wedding and instantly knew I had to book them when I got engaged. From the first meeting I could tell we would get along and it was very important for me to have a photographer who made my husband feel comfortable because he hates taking pictures. Daryl and Elizabeth are a dream team who really have an eye for capturing couples. My engagement session was a blast and my husband agreed that they were the right choice for us. My bridal session was an absolute dream and both Daryl and Elizabeth went above and beyond. The wedding day was stressful but I was never stressed about my photography throughout the entire process. I also hired Studio 1216 to do my wedding video! The highlight video is INSANELY good and I still watch it about twice a week. Not only are these two amazing photographers, they're also gifted with customer service you cannot beat in this wedding industry today. They're truly one of the best, genuine vendors you could choose. My husband and I still say choosing Studio 1216 was the best choice about our wedding experience because I knew they would get the job done. I cannot think of a way to give this business enough praise. Professional, patient, knowledgeable, modern, classic, responsive, attentive...I could go on and on. I planned my destination NOLA wedding from PA and communicated with Daryl mostly through e-mail. I received responses quickly and clearly through out the whole process.

On the day of, I seriously was so incredibly grateful that we decided on Studio1216. They knew the venue, they knew the best times to do everything. I had a very rigid rule of not wanting my groom to see me before the wedding, and they made sure that did not happen and still got in incredible photographs. More importantly, they understood and respected that we were still at our wedding. They didn't drag us away for pictures, they didn't interrupt for posed photographs, they worked professionally and photographed our wedding wonderfully, and we feel like we didn't miss a beat.

This is an amazing company. Daryl and Elizabeth are incredible people. The passion they have for their job and their business is clear from the way they treat their customers and the quality of work they do. Highly, highly recommend.

Daryl and Elizabeth of 1216 Studios are incredible professional photographers who know how to work with a couple and their family and friends to create a wonderful memory of a very important even in a couple’s life, their wedding. As photographers for Sarah and Erik they captured the solemnity of the ceremony and the great fun and celebration of the reception with a fantastic array of photographs. The wedding book and the parent book are beautiful and a fabulous keepsake of the wedding.
They were there as the couple got ready, Elizabeth with Sarah and Daryl with Erik, and captured the surprise and joy of their “first look” with ease and grace. Elizabeth even helped me button up Sarah’s dress when I was all thumbs and ,of course, nervous.
I could not give enough praise to this couple for the wonderful way they recorded my daughter and her husband’s wedding and will use them again when the occasion arises.

A++++++ I honestly can't even put into words how great our experience was with 1216 Studio. First of all they are an adorable married couple named Elizabeth and Daryl who are both photographers, and they are super friendly and accommodating. They were with us all day at several locations; there were no limits on hours or number of locations or anything. They even came to our rehearsal dinner and took some pics! Every email was always responded to promptly and they were never late or disorganized. They were absolute pros about the awful weather the day of and didn't blink an eye even though they were totally drenched in order to get good shots. They also were so kind and helpful when the fact that it was pouring rain began to stress us out and other vendors were really rude about it. When our musician quit 10 minutes before the ceremony and I started crying, Elizabeth literally pulled out a fan and tissues and comforted me. They went WAY above and beyond, and when we got the photographs back (only 6 weeks later) they were so beautiful that some of my family members felt the need to write them personal emails about how much they appreciated them. On top of all of that, their rates were by far the most reasonable out of any of the photographers we talked to. Book them!!!!!!!!

We cannot believe how big of a jackpot we hit when we chose 1216 Studio to photograph our wedding. You can look at their website—the talent and technical skill are apparent—so instead, please allow me to tell you about this incredibly cool duo that documented our best day ever.

My husband and I decided on April 1, 2015 that we wanted to elope (No April Fools!). With no more than about 3 weeks to plan, I scoured the internet looking for the best wedding photographer in New Orleans. Right away, 1216 Studio rose to the top, and I when I emailed them, Daryl’s response was timely, professional, and helpful.

Fast forward to the day before the wedding when we drove into NOLa, wedding dress and last-minute checklist in tow, we pulled up to the studio for a “quick” consult. We wound up staying for well over an hour talking to Daryl and Elizabeth. They wanted to know all about us, and we learned a lot about them, too. They were such pros at teasing out the information they needed, it was less like a consult and more like catching up with old friends.

On our wedding day, they showed up at our hotel, and it was pure magic. They assessed the landscape so effortlessly and quickly, and they have SUCH a way of orchestrating the most beautiful shots, without making it feel contrived in any way. D & E did SUCH an amazing job of not only capturing the moments that made our wedding day so special, but CREATING the perfect moments to bring the joy we felt to life.

Imagine all of the wonderful, precious memories you make on your wedding day. The anticipation, love, smiles, tears, joy, and elation. Now, imagine all of them being captured beautifully, by people who you’d swear had been your friends for years. When I look back at my wedding photos, I see so many moments that I couldn’t fully appreciate that day, but that move me to tears nearly every time I see them now. That’s so much more than we knew to hope for; but it’s exactly what we got from 1216 Studio.

I am honestly so happy with 1216 Studio! Daryl and Elizabeth photographed my bridals and my wedding day. They are both amazing people and great to work with. They were very professional while at the same time being easy going and easy to talk to. I love how they took a variety of pictures including traditional still shots, personalized still shots, and LOTS of action shots. All of our photographs turned out absolutely perfect! Since I loved our photos so much I wanted to share them with our parents. They are super flexible with options and you can get additional prints, DVDs, canvases, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend 1216 Studio for occasion!

My wife and I had a destination wedding in New Orleans this past May and choose Daryl and Elizabeth to capture our big day and we were NOT disappointed. My wife was very particular about who she wanted to select as the photographer and poured over many websites, looking at proofs and style of capture. Many things that went over my head when it comes to art and style. She finally decided on using 1216 Studios. From the first time we spoke to Daryl you can tell he is passionate about his photography and craft. Since we were coming from out of town he and Elizabeth offered many suggestions and great ideas for locations to do our first look and had great suggestions we used during our big day. The biggest thing for us was during the wedding, when the cops came and almost shut the party down, upon the resolution, they suggested we head to the Quarter for a couple of shots there and take a break to compose ourselves while guests ate their dessert. We get the pictures back from them and they looked magnificent. They delivered us 6 DVDs worth of pictures each with about 250-300 photos on them. I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the NOLA area!

As a wedding planner working with 1216 studio has been nothing short of fabulous. Anytime we can use their services because they are always so booked we encourage all of our brides to do so!!! Darryl and Elizabeth (photographers of 1216) were absolutely amazing to work with! They are husband and wife which makes it even better bc they each have different styles so you get like 2 photographers for the price of one! You get different angles and everything and that's what We loved most about them is the different shots and angles from having 2 people photographing you. We got married at the Maison Dupuy in New Orleans in a courtyard so we had a destination wedding and were from out of town so they were very professional and easy to get in contact with and easy to get back with you with questions and they were also open to hearing our feedback in what we were wanting! We had some construction in our wedding venue area where we were getting married and Daryl made us feel so at ease in telling us he would make things work in a way you could never tell there was construction ... And he made that statement come true! You could never even tell there was any bit of construction going on! They edit every single picture taken which is amazing! They also are prepared the day of the wedding (red bull, 5 hour energy, sewing kit, water, snacks) I mean believe me.... You never know when you may need some of those things! They worked well with everyone at the wedding and were very involved with the All the wedding guests with getting pictures of them, action shots, Etc! Daniel and I cannot express enough how happy we were with them! They made our day even so much more special! A photographer is the most important part of a wedding because you will have these moments forever and they are perfect for that special day!!!

I was afraid I was going to have to pay an outrageous price for only a few hours of pictures on my wedding day, but then I found Elizabeth and Daryl. They were absolutely amazing to work with. They are such a reasonable price ESPECIALLY for what you get in return. Wedding pictures last for a lifetime, and I could not be happier with ours. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience or more wonderful photos of our wedding. Everyone we've shown pictures to has commented on the high quality of the images and how perfectly the emotion of the day was captured. Daryl & Elizabeth were a pleasure to work with and I recommend them to anyone looking for professional, easygoing photographers who are sure to provide beautiful photos of your special event.
-I submitted a booking request on very short notice and I heard back from Daryl within HOURS. He and Elizabeth were prompt and professional in all communication with us.
-We were invited to 1216 Studio to see their work in person and to discuss plans for our wedding day. That was not feasible for us but the offer was certainly appreciated. I cannot overstate how important we were made to feel by 1216 Studio. Their customer service is impeccable.
-We met Daryl & Elizabeth for the first time ~30 mins before our ceremony. We instantly felt at ease with them and it shows in our pictures. Even my husband -who hates having his picture taken- looks happy and at ease in all our pictures.
-My husband and I had NO plans or ideas about how we wanted our wedding photographed or what pictures we might want. Daryl and Elizabeth were patient and helpful in guiding us in these decisions. We deferred to them for essentially all of our photos and we could not be more thrilled with the results. It was a relief for us to not have to stage direct our own wedding and reception, knowing that we would still end up with wonderful photos of the day.
-Our sample album was up well within the estimated timeline 1216 Studio provided. We enjoyed looking at every single photo and we can't believe those are only the samples! We feel so incredibly lucky to have had our wedding captured in so many lovely photos. Honestly, the only struggle we have had throughout this entire process is picking our *favorite* photos -we love so many of them, it has been hard to choose.

Elizabeth and Daryl were the best! First, the photographs looked fantastic! I could not have asked for better memories. They captured the scenery, colors, people... just go to their website, your pictures will look wonderful like the featured weddings, only your faces in them. Thier work speaks for itself. Second, I was so amazed at the moments the captured... split seconds... and they were able to catch them. We have some really fun pictures of guests dancing at the reception. Third, if you are going to have people around you for your wedding, these are the people that should be there. They provide moral support and motivation. The encourage you to smile, the are very flexible and they provide alternatives if things aren't going as planned. It's so refreshing to hear "oh but that's no problem, we can just do this..." Lastly, tell them what you care about and what you don't care about and the will ensure your wished are met. I will definitely use them again for family portraits.

Elizabeth and Daryl are the best. Very easy going. Lots of ideas and constantly taking pictures so you don't miss anything. Their pricing is unbeatable and the quality of work is awesome. If you have any ideas they will do their best to accommodate . I have three daughters and wouldn't look any further than 1216 photographers for their weddings.

1216 Studio has a great price for an even greater experience. They are a husband and wife duo that know how to work together to give their customer a great shot from every angle of their event. Both of them devoted the ENTIRE day to my wedding taking pictures at all times. No worries about paying by the hour or when to have them start so that they caught everything before their time was up. They stayed till the last person left and were happy to do so. They offered to have one photographer with me and one photgrapher with my husband while we were both getting ready in the morning and quickly took all group photos afterwards so that we were able to get on with the party. They asked me to pull them for any group photo I wanted at any time and they even offered to sneak My husband and I away if we needed a second alone. After the wedding I had 400 edited pictures within only a few weeks and the rest of my pictures on DVD within a month or two. With that I was also able to pick out a generous amount of prints. Throughout my wedding process they encouraged me to find them on pinterest and send me any dream shot I would like to take at my own wedding. They emailed my mom and I back and forth very quickly and were ready to answer any phone call. My family liked them so much that my sister is using them for her own engagement shots and wedding. I highly recommend them to any bride that wants great quality photos and a very relaxed team that is there for your every call.

1216 Studio is amazing! They came on Friday night to our rehearsal celebration as a last minute request from us and then photographed our wedding. They were extremely professional, flexible, timely, never once had any issues, worked perfectly with my family and all their requests, and all around had a good attitude. For the second line, they literally ran to keep ahead of us to get the perfect picture, it was awesome! They did whatever they needed to do to get the perfect shot and made us and the guests feel like celebrities! My husband, family, and I enjoyed being around them and would recommend them to anyone that needs pictures, not just for weddings, but any event.

ATTENTION ALL BRIDES! If you are looking for a photographer for your special day, 1216 Studio Photography is your answer! They're the absolute BEST! I had a New Orleans wedding 3 weeks ago. I cannot express in words how AMAZING and beautiful our wedding photos are! Elizabeth and Daryl Thornton are incredible photographers! They're the most amazing people and My husband and I are so blessed to have had them as photographers for our special day! From the very first time I contacted them, I was blown away with their attention to detail and professionalism. I would say I'm pretty picky when it comes to photography. I'm a Singer and entertainer and Have worked with countless photographers over the years, so for my wedding, I was searching for the best! Many photographers would charge a fortune for the amount of hours, to the amount of photos you get, it was up charge after upcharge. 1216 Studio photography is unique in the amount of time they spend with their clients, to getting every single photo they take of you, it's incredible and all at an extremely reasonable price! Daryl and Elizabeth Thornton were my photographers for my bridal portraits along with my wedding day. I cannot brag enough on both of them. They were BEYOND amazing! They surpassed everything and more than I could have ever imagined for my wedding day. I literally do not have one negative thing to say about either one of them. They were so professional yet so fun with my husband and I along with our bridal party. In addition to their professionalism their quality of work is the best in the business. When I got my wedding pictures back my mother and I could not find one picture that we did not like. I would argue to say that they are the best in the NOLA area. They made my wedding day unforgettable and gave me pictures that will last a lifetime.

Darryl and Elizabeth are amazing! I took engagement pictures with them back in May(?) and they did photography and last minute videography. They were very accommodating and willing to work with us when we made changes. They are easy to work with, very friendly, and made me feel comfortable. They gave me great ideas for pictures in order to make them unique. They even worked with me on setting up a video booth at the wedding, going out of their way to make a backdrop and question cards.

Working with Elizabeth and Daryl has honestly been one of the highlights of wedding planning thus far. They are truly a joy to work with from beginning to end.

I love that they are fun, easy to work with, and best of all very purpose-driven with everything. They are fun while still being no-nonsense, wanting to make the best use of your time and money.

They know where all the great photo op spots are in New Orleans. Our photo shoot in the French Quarter doubled as a history lesson as we got to hear stories about the various streets. During the shoot, they made us feel totally comfortable. It was also fascinating to see how they look at the world through a photographer's eyes.

Working with them to settle on a Save the Date design was also a seamless process. It took just a few back-and-forths with Elizabeth to settle on a design that worked for us. We were very happy with how the designs turned out. We even got a fantastic DVD set with all the digital photos, with a beautiful cover on the disc case.

The bride and I very highly recommend Elizabeth and Daryl to anyone looking for photography services in New Orleans. They are the best and I only hope that the other vendors we work will approach their level of professionalism and resourcefulness.

I cannot say enough great things about 1216 Studio! They photographed our engagement photos in New Orleans, and it honestly could not have been better. Daryl and Elizabeth are incredibly easy to work with and they really listened to our input about the shoot. We got a lot of really incredible photos! After the shoot, they remained in close contact with us, even designing our Save the Date, which is everything we wanted and more. They're extremely reasonably priced, especially considering how involved they were and all of the personalized attention we received.

I would highly, highly recommend them as a wedding photographer!!!!

Daryl & Elizabeth were absolutely amazing. They truly made our wedding vision a reality. We did not want the large wedding packages that most photographers offer. Although that is an option with 1216 Studio, they, unlike others, offered a package for the smaller more intimate weddings. They responded very quickly to my first email. Daryl, worked with me to design the package I wanted within our budget. At that time I was pleased with package we decided on. However, by the end of the wedding and to this date, we are beyond happy with their work.
From the beginning Daryl paid close attention to detail. He set up time to meet at their studio prior to the wedding so that they could meet us and determine not only the photos that would be important to us, but to our personalities and style to help them create the photographs specific to us.
They arrived on time, both at the hotel where I was staying and at the wedding location. They are both familiar with the French Quarter and have worked extensively at both of our venues (hotel and wedding site). They already knew the locations & staff to help achieve the best shots. They also helped to keep us on our timeline and other details to make it easier for us. The girls and I took two pedicabs to the wedding site. Daryl rounded up the pedicabs and Elizabeth ran with us taking photographs.
They interacted with our guest so that they were having a great time with the pictures. They were just great fun. Not only was the shoot done professionally, but their kindness with us and our guests were amazing. By the end of the wedding it was pouring rain, so they even took some of our guests back to their hotels.
We can not say enough good things about 1216 Studio. Simply above and beyond. The photos and the package are simply wonderful. A very well rounded service with great quality, value, professionalism and kindness. Thank you 1216 Studio for beautifully telling our story and preserving our memories.

We booked 1216 Studio to shoot our small, intimate wedding ceremony and additional wedding pictures. Daryl responded to our online inquiry very quickly with a package which fitted our needs and budget perfectly. He also offered help for any other subjects around our marriage what was highly appreciated as we were still looking for a wedding officiant. Daryl almost immediately responded with a recommendation. As it turned out the minister was the perfect choice and we are still deeply grateful for Daryl's support. We changed the location one day before the wedding what was no problem at all. Daryl and Elizabeth did the wedding photography together and they have a wonderful way to be present and stay in the background at the same time. Even their instructions were absolutely unobtrusive. Usually we don't like to pose for photographs or have cameras around us but Daryl and Elizabeth made us feel very comfortable so we were able to act naturally. We didn't have the feeling that we had some service providers with us but two persons who accompanied us for a short time on our big day. When we saw the first samples of our wedding pictures we were just blown away - each photo is phantastic and radiates. We are more than happy that we had Daryl and Elizabeth as our wedding photographers and can highly recommend them.

I got married in New Orleans but live out of town, so had difficulty choosing a photographer and did not have many helpful recommendations. I came across 1216 Studio and loved their work. When I initially asked for a price, Daryl came back with the lowest offer I had been given. I was scared because it was such a difference in price from what I considered comparable photographers. I learned that an ad had been placed in a magazine and there was a "typo" with the price. Rather than explaining the mistake to all potential clients, Daryl and his wife chose to honor the incorrect promotion. I offered to pay the full/correct price, but Daryl only charged the lower amount.

Regardless of the price, Daryl and his assistant were by far some of the best photographers I have ever worked with. Daryl has a natural eye for creating images and capturing the special moments. When my husband and I had our first look, Daryl had several ideas and directed us, but at the same time was completely in the background and allowed my husband and I to enjoy the moment and be ourselves. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Working with Daryl and Beth at 1216 Studio was an absolutely awesome experience! They were by far the nicest, most responsive, helpful and flexible out of all my vendors and really went above and beyond my expectations the day of the event, especially for the rate they charged. My husband and I were on a tight budget for the wedding and some of our vendors definitely provided us with "budget" level service, but not Daryl and Beth. They worked really hard to ensure that our day was perfect and that we would have tons of amazing shots to remember it by (including a CD with all the images, which was really important to us). They were very professional but also very friendly, getting the shots we wanted without being pushy or rude at all like some photographers I've encountered at weddings. For instance, my friend asked Daryl to take a picture with her phone and instead of getting annoyed or just quickly snapping one he actually had Beth hold up a lightbox to improve the quality of the shot and get it just right--it's by far the best picture I've ever seen from a phone camera. They took the posed family shots I requested in a beautiful way that wasn't awkward looking, and also blended into the background to take lots of photojournalistic-type shots. I really can't recommend 1216 Studio highly enough; they were truly a pleasure to work with and booking them was one the best investments we made in the wedding.

PS: If you have a large and annoying family, Daryl and Beth are great to work with because they are great at tactfully corralling them away to take pictures so you can relax for a few minutes. They also have some good vendor recommendations if you're still in the early planning stages (we weren't by the time we booked them but I wish we'd found them sooner because it would have been a big help).

From start to finish, we absolutely loved having Studio 1216 as our wedding photographers. When shopping for our wedding photographer, we wanted an experienced, flexible, and affordable photographer for our intimate downtown New Orleans wedding. They were extremely nice, understanding, and professional during every stage of the event. We didn't have a traditional wedding and were looking for a multifaceted photographer to capture our special day. Studio 1216 definitely did not disappoint! We are currently in the print ordering process, once again the experience and results have been great! Studio 1216 created a variety of traditional and photojournalism images…so there is something for everyone.

Our wedding photography experience with Daryl and Beth at 1216 Studio was absolutely perfect and I can’t praise 1216 Studio enough. From the beginning, 1216 Studio was professional and answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. My now Husband and I live in Texas; having someone so knowledgeable about the area (French Quarter) and helpful truly made a huge difference. Throughout the entire process Daryl listened to all our ideas and understood what we wanted for our wedding photos. After listening tour ideas he then put his professional and artists “spin” on our vision. A few days before we were departing I received a call from Daryl asking if 1216 Studio could do anything for us before we left…TALK ABOUT GREAT CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP, very impressive.
The day of the wedding Daryl and Beth were at our location to greet us as we arrived. Daryl has the ability to capture “in the moment” shots without being noticed. Throughout the ceremony and the day he let my Husband and I be ourselves and enjoy every moment without us feeling like we hade to “pose” for awkward pictures; it was perfect.
The turn around time for our pictures were done in a timely manner and were posted on his website for us to review and order. With so many great shots it’s been hard to decide which photos we liked the best. We were so impressed with 1216 Studios work; we have hired them for our second ceremony in Texas. Again, I can’t praise 1216 Studio enough; I strongly urge you to book with 1216 Studio. You will not be disappointed.

My fiance & I have only done our engagement session and we are beyond satisfied with the quality and professionalism with Beth & Daryl. They have great ideas for phot-ops and are open to any suggestion or want to capture the moment! Can't wait to do the actual wedding I'm sure it will be beyond anything we could have ever imagined!

Since our first sit down with Daryl and Elizabeth we knew they were right for our day! Their calm, relaxed personalities made both my husband and me feel comfortable, yet they were still experienced and professional throughout the entire engagement period and wedding day. The couple is quick to respond to emails, helpful in planning (even advice on other vendors!), and open to our ideas when it came to photos. We received a very large (almost 900 photos) sample just a few weeks after the wedding and are expecting more in a couple months. So many positive things to say!

Without a doubt, the best possible experience we could have had with a photographer. We booked 1216 to shoot our engagement photos, and IMMEDIATELY booked them again for our wedding.

Daryl showed up on time, had a plan, and worked with what we had and what we needed. He listened to what we wanted, adapted his plan from there, and gave us a product we could be proud of.

We're using his pics for our save the dates, and will use them at the wedding as well. Nevermind that we love the end result...but it was also a lot of fun doing it.

HIGHLY recommend working with Daryl and 1216 studio....you won't be disappointed.

These guys are great! They got tons of great shots, directed just enough (though some times I wish it was a little more directed), and stayed until midnight. They were a great team and really put us both at ease. Fantastic, professional.

They did take a little longer than expected to get pictures/video back to us, but thats pretty much the story for any photographer, so I can't complain.
