Hire Jeff!!!
We hired Jeff for our May 4th wedding and are so glad we did! Jeff was FANTASTIC - polite, professional, and easygoing throughout the entire process. He made sure to get as much information in advance as possible about our preferences for photos (mostly candids with some group shots) and made sure that everything went smoothly on the big day. My bridesmaids kept telling me how nice and funny he was, and our wedding coordinators loved him. His packages include a second shooter, which was very important to us, and he didn’t pressure us into any “extras”, such as an engagement session. We’ve gotten a few sneak peeks, and they are breathtaking. 100% recommend! -

He was able to work with our budget and though I don't have my pictures yet, he sent me several albums from previous weddings to consider. I asked to send me "the good, the bad, and the ugly." While that's exactly what he did - I can honestly say his work is amazing. There was only good...no bad or ugly. I only expect to see awesome pictures from my wedding! Can't wait! -

User2921573 Sent on 12/21/2016Jeff was fantastic to work with. Jeff is headquartered in Cary, NC but made the trip up to DC with his assistant for our special day. My husband and I were very pleased with his professionalism and the outcome of our wedding photos. Unfamiliar with our venue, he took it upon himself to scout the venue and surrounding areas for the best places to shoot the night before. When it was time to take the photos on our wedding day, he already had ideas and locations picked out so that we could stick to our schedule. If you're on the fence with choosing a wedding photographer, I implore you to check out his portfolio on his website, you won't be disappointed. -
User2635417 Sent on 06/06/2016Jeff is a scam artist. He was so persuasive and wonderful when he saught us out on Thumbtack to photograph our wedding. He contacted us using his real name and when he sent the contract, it was under a different business name. He convinced us to pay in full since he was "giving us such a great deal" for his services. After signing, I googled his business name and was shocked at the horrific reviews!! "Jealko photography" is his other name which is known for requiring a lawyer to get your wedding photos, his bad attitude on your big day, name calling clients, and for never answering his phone which we quickly learned as well. My fiancé spoke with him after we read his bad reviews so we decided to make a change in our plans so our wedding wouldn't turn into a nightmare wondering if our photographer would even show up. Jeff promised him that he would to give us our money back then he went MIA. Jeff Allen studios, Jeff Allen photography, Jealko photogrpahy, and Jeff are all the same man who will take your money and run then never answer his phone again. Don't let this scammer ruin your day!Jeff Allen Studios's reply:
This particular client after hiring me to photograph their coastal wedding and had later contacted me to cancel services because they informed me they could no longer travel from St. Louis to the east coast because of ailing grandparents and had decided to have the wedding in St. Louis instead. I informed them that their contract stipulated no refunds due to canceling services because of a change of plans however I offered to travel to St. Louis and still photograph their wedding to help them out. They ignored such offers.
The day before their wedding I found out they had long since hired another photographer and still had their wedding on the coast and that I had never been listed as the photographer with the venue. Because they were not entitled to a refund for numerous reasons both the couple and mother of the bride harassed me for months and tried to extort money from stating that if they didn't get the money they would ruin my business online.
This is sadly a case of someone trying to take advantage of someone and using social media to bully another to get their way.
I welcome any questions about this matter and would gladly share with you the lengthy report I had to file with the NC Attorney General about this matter.
