  Christina is AMAZING!!!!!! Highly Recommend

  My husband and I were extremely lucky to have Christina referred to us by my Sister-In-Law, whose wedding she had photographed two years prior. Christina did our engagement photos in Central Park, NY and photographed our wedding in MN. We could not be more thrilled with how our photos turned out! Christina is amazingly talented and was able to capture the most candid and momentous moments of our special day. We could not be happier as Christina was extremely professional throughout the entire process and was able to incorporate our visions and bring them to life. I can honestly say that my wedding day was perfect and a large part of that came from Christina. She was able to coordinate every shot with ease, while sticking with our timeline which created an amazing calmness and ease for a fun day of photography for everyone! We are continuously getting compliments from friends and family on how great our photos are. We are so lucky to have these photos to look back on for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend!!

  Incredible Experience and Photos

  We worked with Carroll from Christina Zen Studio and I can't recommend her enough--she was amazing! Not only is she kind, but she is also respectful, so professional and a rockstar photographer. The day of the wedding we were running behind schedule and Carroll was able to get us back on schedule while still capturing all of the amazing moments from the day without us feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Amazing quality photos and service for a great rate, book her!

  When we were looking for a photographer for our wedding, we came across Christina and had found out that she had attended the same university as my husband and I did... the same university that we were having our wedding ceremony! So of course it seemed meant to be! Working with Christina (and Carroll) was one of the best parts of our wedding. I will admit that it was a splurge in comparison to other vendors, but we don't regret it. Photography was not one of those things we wanted to skimp on. The whole process itself was seamless, from the moment we contacted her, each correspondence, the engagement shoot, the wedding day, the album reveal, and receiving the album itself. With our other vendors it felt a little like we were just another couple, just another wedding, but with Christina it felt like we were dealing with someone who truly wanted to make our day special not just on the day of, but before and after.
  The day of the wedding, Christina took charge when I felt like I was losing control. She made sure she got her shots in. A lot of people worry that film photography won't be enough, but we truly didn't want thousands of digital shots that we would never look at again. The moments she captured were intimate and classic. And that's how the whole photography experience with Christina felt: Intimate and classic.

  Christina was worth every penny. She was easy-going, calming, laid back yet professional. We were able to completely relax and trust her in every step of the process. She really listened to our requests, yet had great advice to offer. Our photos turned out better than we could have imagined and we loved her finishing touches and overall style. We couldn't recommend her enough!

  Zen Photography is above & beyond what I hoped for in a wedding photographer and I feel so blessed that we found Christina. Most brides & grooms will agree that the photographer is an important wedding vendor worth splurging on. You want to find someone with skills you trust to preserve your wedding day memories. You also hope that you enjoy being around them since you will be spending a lot of time with them that day.
  
  When looking for our photographer, my fiancé and I wanted someone who would take pictures of the things that I would take pictures of if I were a photographer, so I guess someone with similar taste & style. Christina is that but better. We are like style soul mates, plus she's immensely knowledgeable, talented, creative, FUN, hard-working, perceptive, BRILLIANT, witty, uplifting, warmhearted, passionate about her work and so much more than just a photographer. Her ability to capture the small meaningful moments of life is exhilarating, and her photos have the tendency to bring out the enchanting mythical beauty of any scene.
  
  We LOVE our engagement photos and trust Christina's skills to such an extent that we regularly find ourselves bragging about our photographer to friends and family. We CAN'T WAIT to see the art she will create for us on our wedding day, but also we just simply LOVE Christina and can’t wait to introduce her to our friends and family. She is SO enjoyable to be around, in fact, that spending time with her is somewhere on the top of my list of “Things I'm most looking forward to about my wedding day”!

  We could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos or with our experience of working with Christina and her team. She is incredibly professional, talented and a pleasure to work with. We used her for our beach boardwalk wedding in New Jersey and absolutely loved how she managed to capture the overall essence and feeling of the day while also getting some really amazing detail shots. She will also go to the ends of the earth to get the photos that you want. We wanted pictures walking down the boardwalk and not only did she herd traffic out of the way and throw herself in the line of fire so that we could get pictures walking twelve man/woman deep across the Ocean City boardwalk, but she also sent her assistant to get the most awesome props (funnel cakes, butterfly fries, cotton candy and lemonade to set the scene). Not to mention when she climbed into a ferris wheel car with us to take shots there at the end of the night, despite a fear of heights! In addition to getting the shots we wanted, she has a great eye for detail and picked some fantastic locations for our family and bridal party shots. Her work with the candid shots was truly impressive and we really treasure some of the moments she captured of of our guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour (it was especially shocking because she somehow totally blended into the background and I didn’t even realize she was snapping away). You will not go wrong if you pick Christina and her team and you will have artwork from your wedding day that you can treasure for years to come! The only problem with working with Christina is the struggle to decide which of the beautiful photos you want to hang on your walls once you see the final product!

Finding a photographer that we felt comfortable around was very important for us and we were willing to spend the extra money to find this. As two people who are not used to being photographed, Christina made us feel completely comfortable and we knew we had made the right choice for our wedding day.

  My husband and I were so thrilled that Christina at Zen Photography was available for our May wedding date, but words cannot express how happy we are with what she captured on the day! As soon as we met Christina, her meticulousness, eye for detail, style (and fellow fantasy/sci-fi geekiness - ahem, LOTR, Star Wars!) was apparent, and we were immediately impressed by her professionalism and delighted by her warm smile and humor, which put two people who are otherwise rather awkward in front of the camera at ease.
  
  Christina is an artist, capturing very candid, genuine, sweet and tender moments at great angles, giving couples a wide variety of shots to look over and choose from. Not only does Christina expertly capture moments to remember, she does so very discreetly. In fact, we were so amazed by how many photos she and her team took throughout the day without being noticed. We have so many priceless candid, natural shots of the wedding as a result, and we couldn't be happier with everything she has done for us.
  
  Within a month, Christina had already sent us a preview digital album of the wedding shots, and soon after, the draft of our wedding album to print! My husband and I prioritized photography for our wedding day, and we know we made the perfect choice with Christina. We seriously could not be happier with our decision to work with her as our wedding photographer! Every picture captures exactly what we were hoping to remember about our wedding day. Christina has an artist's eye for taking photos that tell a story of the most memorable day in our lives.   You will not regret choosing Christina! Her vibe is amazing & can even get a reluctant groom to have a great time! She will capture gorgeous real pictures and you will have a blast posing. Not only is she an awesome photographer but she was there to help me sort out some wardrobe/color options that were driving me crazy. Her eye for color & cool spots are like no other! Christina & her wonderful assistant are willing to get any shot you want; whether it's traditional, non traditional, includes dogs, beards or beer they are willing to shoot you! Not only does she capture great memories she also somehow catches the ones you thought you missed!

  Christina and her crew are so easy to get along with. Her pictures are definitely the best wedding pictures I have seen. She takes quality pictures, both film and digital, and makes sure that the shot is right. We love our engagement photos and wedding photos. I would highly recommend Christina to anyone!

She has a way of bringing out your personality and making you feel so comfortable when spending time with her! She makes things a total blast!   My husband and I ADORE Christina and ZEN Photography! We decided to have an intimate ceremony about five hours from home at the Stone Church at Cragsmoor. After my share of homework and tons of research, I approached Christina with fingers (and toes!) crossed. We were so happy that she agreed to capture our wedding being as how it was not a typical, all day wedding. She customized a package just for us. Our communication with Christina was done through email since we are out of town, and she was quick to respond the entire time. In the months leading up to our wedding, we even received a Christmas package and a postcard from her trip to Paris! Since we were pinched for time, we met at the church prior to the ceremony for pictures and she brought along her fantastic assistant, Carol. Carol not only helped her out, but she helped US out by entertaining our children so we could sneak off for some bride and groom pictures. Christina greeted us with open arms (literally!) and made us feel like we had known her for years. I cannot say this enough. Her. Work. Is. Fantastic. Her perspective is creative and unique. She captured everything I had hoped for and more. She is energetic and fiery and was such a pleasure to work with!. We could not be happier with Christina’s work and we are very blessed to have these photographs to remember such a beautiful day in our lives!

  If I could give her six stars, I would... she is that good. Yes there are cheaper photographers out there but for me and my husband, who has a degree in Photography and is used to being behind the camera not in front of it, there was no comparison to Christina and her team! From the start, she was wonderful and put us at ease. She did digital and film at our wedding and it's worth every penny you spend. Her photos come out amazing and she works very quickly to get you a teaser even before you leave for your honeymoon! Having never been to our venue before, she quickly got acclaimated and found our onsite contact to figure out where she could and couldn't go for photos so we could concentrate on getting ready. We ran into time issues because someone forgot their shoes at home (completely NOT her fault at all) and still she managed to help us trouble shoot the issue and readjust her time line to make sure we got every photo we wanted to capture our day! We did a first look and although her and her staff were there it was still our private moment as they snapped photos of me and hubby being ourselves (crying, hot messes)! They made it very private and it was a great chance for me and my husband to say hello and get some of our nerves to settle down a bit prior to walking down the aisle.

Christina first sent us a very nice care package in order to help us get to know her a little better which included tons of great information such as how she works, what a wedding day with her is like, and all the other services she has to offer. She also sent us a copy of her favorite romance movie and a bag of popcorn which I thought was just one of her many unique ideas to help you feel comfortable and confident that you made the right choice in your wedding photographer. We choose the package that included engagement photos. Just another reason why we loved Christina she helped us pick a place for the photos which was absolutely breath taking and also worked her schedule around us which was super helpful considering that we got rained out twice. This never stopped Christina from making our engagement photo session anything less then perfect. Both my husband and I were very nervous about meeting Christina but within 5 mins of being around her and her staff she just had a way of making us feel like we knew her for years. I can't recommend Christina enough! Our wedding day was Amazing and we have forever beautiful memories thanks to Christina and her staff. Is it crazy that I blush looking at the pictures of how much of a debonair studmuffin my hubby is?! Her pictures are a tangible memory of his beauty in and out! I FELT like a princess on my wedding day, but I look back on my images and am reminded of that –that’s Christina’s doing—being able to capture the sentiments and reality of the day and life. A truly professional individual who is ENTHUSIASTIC about YOU as a couple, your love story, and her work with you. In my search for various wedding vendors, I came across photographers that came across as preoccupied and self-important. Aesthetic and quality of work isn’t enough.
