  There are so many reasons why I'm so happy we chose April Amodeo to capture our wedding day! The words that come to mind when I think of April and her photography approach are friendly, fun, flexible, professional, creative, and incredibly talented. We originally chose April because she took my husband's professional headshots and they were excellent. After our first consultation with her I knew we had found the perfect person for the job. April is so incredibly friendly and easy to work with.
  
  The day of the wedding April was nothing short of INCREDIBLE! Our wedding was at West Manor in Forest, VA and she was happily willing to travel from Blacksburg to capture our day. When she arrived she seemed just as excited as I was about the wedding! She went above and beyond to make us feel special. She even made a beautiful hanger for my dress for photos. She was very flexible with timing - although we had a pretty strict timeline she worked with us and made sure she got the shots she needed. She was so good about directing us what to do but making sure we were having fun at the same time.
  
  The day after the wedding, April had already put our first look photos on Facebook! I couldn't believe how fast she got them out there and I was so impressed and completely delighted with what I saw. Seeing the day through her eyes and photographs was like experiencing the day all over again. She captured the day perfectly. My family and friends all commented on how beautiful and creative the photos were. April also put together a beautiful piece on her blog that told the story of our day. I can't tell you how many times I've gone on her blog to look back at the pictures!
  
  If you are getting married and are looking for a photographer that will go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect and is captured perfectly, I would wholeheartedly recommend April Amodeo.

  April Amodeo is my hero!
  April drove from Blacksburg, VA to coastal AL to be our photographer! She really saved us, we hadn't found a single decent photographer in our area having just moved down here a few months before the big day. We called her up because she had done a photoshoot for my husband who is a part -time musician while we lived in Blacksburg, and she arrived on our doorstep in less than a week; a day early and just in time for my bachelorette party! The pictures she took of us girls wearing pink mustaches and drinking champagne had us rolling on the floor laughing after the wedding and will be some of my most cherished memories with my closest friends for many many years. At the wedding she was there with me every step of the way, from makeup to dancing with my dad there wasn't a thing she missed. After she gave us our album, there were even things in it that I had missed, like the flower girls all dancing together (sooo CUTE!) She took pictures of things I wouldn't have thought to ask for like the bouquets on the stairs or our personal champagne flutes not just the people and main events. She fit right in with my rowdy side of the family as well as my husbands more shy kin from out of town and was truly a huge part of making sure that everything went smoothly and I stayed calm on our wedding day. I have never had someone that I hired that was there for me more. She became my friend and that allowed her the ability to portray personality in her photos in a way that I have never seen before. Needless to say, I am a huge April Amodeo fan and I promise that you will be too if you give her a chance to get to know you also.

She doesn't just go for posed pictures, rather she inserts herself in the couple's magical experience and tries to document their story from start to finish. At my wedding, she was on time, focused and ran from prep, make-up, ceremony to private photos and then reception! We got married at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia and the pictures turned out as grand as the venue. I had a dual cultural wedding and a few months down the road, she also took pictures of my Indian reception and locked in the memories of the vivid colors brilliant ethnic dancing and plenty of food and friendship at the party. Later both my ceremonies were featured in local and regional wedding magazines. April is also thoughtful enough to design handmade items for her brides (she made my wedding dress hanger) and also supplied me with a photo book that I treasure to this day. I would highly recommend April Amodeo Photography as your photographer for your special day!
