Amazing Photographer & Experience

I fell in love with Amanda's photos and I knew I had to have her as our wedding photographer. Amanda was much more than a photographer - she was a voice of reason, wedding expert, meteorologist and confidant. She was so helpful and understanding when dealing with COVID and rescheduling. On my wedding day I was worried about some stains on my dress. Amanda instantly wiped the dirt off my dress onto her pants and brought out a stain remover/positioned me to hide the stain. Our photos turned out great and are true keepsakes! I have so many favorites and our families are thrilled with the photos. Amanda was organized and professional getting all the shots we wanted, keeping everyone calm, and capturing the beautiful moments. I can't recommend Amanda and her team enough!

In Love with Our Photos

This review is quite delayed (my husband and I got married on February 14, 2020), but after reminiscing about our wedding day recently, we both felt it was necessary to share what an amazing photographer Amanda Donaho is for anyone who is in search of one for their wedding; you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who comes more highly recommended than her. Amanda is extremely personable, professional, and provides her clients with sense of comfort that everything will be okay on the day of the wedding despite whatever unexpected things may arise. Amanda did a great job capturing the beauty of our venue (The Monastery), all the key elements of our ceremony, and the miscellaneous details throughout the day that helps us look back fondly on our wedding. Most importantly, she did an amazing job of capturing very touching moments between us and our our family and friends. Amanda came highly recommended to us and we felt she not only met but exceeded all of our expectations. For anyone considering Amanda for their wedding photos we’d highly encourage using her as well for engagement photos. My husband and I believe having this extra touchpoint with her helped us further increase our level of comfort with her behind the lens and ultimately led to us being able to be our authentic selfs the day of the wedding which allowed Amanda to capture some truly amazing photos of us and our families. We are excited to be able to use Amanda in the future as we enter new life stages and look forward to her capturing moments with our growing family. We are extremely happy and feel so fortunate that we were able to have had her behind the camera on our wedding day.

So I’m the biggest procrastinator in the world and have been meaning to write this review since before my wedding because I’ve knew my pictures were going to turn out amazing even before the wedding happened because Amanda is that amazing. But here’s the thing... for all you future brides out there... picking your wedding photographer isn’t just about the pictures (but let’s be real... you already know Amanda takes unreal pictures or you wouldn’t be reading these reviews), so this review isn’t really about the pictures.. her work speaks for itself.. and if you don’t follow her on Instagram just head over there right after you finishing reading this. Here’s the thing... on your wedding day there is a lot going on and no matter how calm, cool, and collected you are... things will get crazy! Amanda literally runs the best show - her timeline is amazing, she handles massive families, and big bridal parties with ease, she doesn’t miss a beat. I was in a wedding a few weeks later and I texted Amanda - “holy cow, I mean I already knew you were the best but OMG you run a good show, the photographer has no clue what’s going on!” I cannot stress this enough, I have been in a zillion wedding, NO photographer I have seen has the organization, patience, calmness, but also ability to direct a room the way Amanda does. Amanda wasn’t just my photographer, she was my best friend (I mean she doesn’t know we are besties but I think we are) and I picked her as my photographer because I wanted her by my side on my wedding day! And thank goodness she was, because my lips full of bright pink lipstick went smack dap onto my stark white dress as I was putting it on. As everyone was rushing around trying to figure out what to do, Amanda calmly came over and said.. it’s the middle of the day on a Friday, the dress shop will be open, where is your dress from, who is the designer, and do you know the style or fabric? You guys, she CALLED the dress shop and found out what to do. This is what I’m talking about, it’s literally like having the world’s best friend and most seasoned wedding participant with you all day. I did not stress for a second of that day because I had Amanda. Another thing, your wedding and pictures are super intimate, you want someone photographing you who you feel comfortable with and makes you feel at ease, again... I felt like Amanda was my bestie (even though my wedding day was only the second time we ever met in person, I felt like I knew her forever). Anyways, our pictures our breathtaking and we will treasure them forever, but more than that, I will forever remember Amanda because she played the part of my best friend on my wedding day - she kept me calm, happy, on time, and made me look beautiful. I honestly cannot imagine my day without her.

Can we give Amanda 10/5 stars?! She deserves ALL of them. Hiring Amanda as our photographer was the BEST decision we made for our wedding - you cannot go wrong when choosing her. From the moment you contact her, you know that she truly cares about you as a couple. She is extremely responsive to email and eases your mind when it comes to any concern. What we love the most about Amanda is that she truly goes above and beyond for you any time you are with her. Our wedding day quite unfortunately was basically a monsoon. I'm talking an ALL DAY downpour. From the moment I reached out to Amanda on our wedding week freaking out about the rain she was able to calm me down and assure me she had a fool-proof rain game plan. She advised us to be flexible, to trust her, and to buy umbrellas - but told us not to worry at all because she had it all under control. And WOW did she nail it on the wedding day! Despite the downpour, Amanda made sure we got INCREDIBLE wedding photos. She moved huge couches so we could have our first look indoors but still made the space beautiful. When we couldn't take pictures at our original locations, she came up with new locations on the fly that were just as great as the planned ones. She fixed my dress multiple times when the sleeves kept coming off. She fixed my hair when the hurricane-like winds kept messing it up. She dried my tears when I lost it during our first look. I mean she truly went above and beyond for us. She felt like a friend on our wedding day and was reason we had the day of our dreams despite having to scrap all of our original plans. We don't know what we would've done without her and are so very thankful for all of her hard work. Our pictures turned out amazing, and most importantly we had a fantastic time and didn't have to worry about anything on our big day. We cannot stress enough how amazing Amanda is - without a doubt she will make your day magical.

Words cannot truly express how Aaron and I feel about our choice in choosing Amanda as our wedding photographer! She was above and beyond what we expected! She was extremely pleasant to work with and offered so much support throughout our wedding planning process. We met multiple times to discuss timeline and our vision for the wedding day. On our big day Amanda knew exactly what to do and handled every situation with professionalism and grace. The day could not have gone as smoothly as it did without her help! She is much more than a photographer! We are extremely happy with the memories she captured from our wedding day. We will cherish these forever! Amanda is truly talented; we recommend her to everyone!

There are really not enough positive things I could say in this review to accurately describe Amanda's services and skills for our big day. My husband and I discussed how amazing she was multiple times on our honeymoon. My husband hates, I mean HATES taking pictures (and of course I love, I mean LOVE pictures), and he enjoyed both our engagement session and the entire day of pictures at our wedding with Amanda. Not a single person in a wedding party of 24 complained about the picture process because Amanda made it so seamless. Her eye for details- someone in the background, a bow tie tilted, a string out of place, a branch poking out in the background too far, etc.- is impeccable. She was always incredibly friendly, never rude or too pushy like photographers can be sometimes, and she captured every shot I asked her to get before the big day and then some. All of our parents have commented about how professional and wonderful she was on the wedding day. I was nervous about spending so much on a photographer, but I decided it's the only thing that lasts after the day is over and she was worth every single penny! We just got married a couple weeks ago, and we've already received over 1,000 photos and the rest are on the way. Our wedding day would not have been as perfect as it was if it weren't for Amanda! Hands down, Amanda was our vendor MVP!

Amanda and her team were a dream to work with. I had complete faith in her and her vision which gave me so much peace of mind during my wedding day. She is responsive, smart, assertive and very easy to work with. Her pricing is all upfront and very fair for the amount of attention and quality you get. It's so important to find vendors that you mesh well with, and her personality was absolutely perfect for our group - she's extremely talented, experienced, and her attention to detail is bar none. I was a bit neurotic before the event and during, and she and her team handled my stress with ease. Her husband and assistant were perfect to work with as well - I never had to worry that important moments would be missed, and when I gave her the shot list of what I wanted she had already thought of everything. Also, Amanda was a blessing in terms of helping me with the wedding day timeline - she really has a knack for making sure everything is thought of. I have seen a few sneak peaks of what the finished product will look like and cannot wait to see the rest of the photos - if you are looking for a fair and talented photography team I absolutely recommend Amanda Donaho Photography!

Amanda is incredible. From the very first time we met, I knew she was the photographer for us. She's sweet, caring and super talented. She put up with our crazy dog during our engagement session and became fast friends with my sister (who dubbed herself Amanda's assistant). Not only are her final images stunning, but she makes the entire day fun. I'd highly recommend her for engagement and wedding photography. We could not have been blessed with a better photographer. Your wedding photographer is THE most important "vendor" you will book for your big day! My husband and I discussed this at the very beginning of our engagement. We realized that aside from all the leftover "stuff" you accumulate from your big day, our photos would be all we would have to look back on and help us remember our special day. They would be what we would show our kids, and share with our families for years to come. As Amanda would say, she creates family "Heirlooms" and I couldn't agree more. Every photo that I have from my wedding brings back all the feelings I felt that day and more. She captured everything better than I could have ever hoped. She does an amazing job and I have not come across a better photographer. Amanda is professional, wonderful to work with, and is one of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of meeting throughout my planning process. I am so thankful we chose Amanda to photograph our big day and to have made a new friend as well. I highly recommend Amanda Donaho Photography for your engagement or your wedding or both. Sometimes you just know when you've found the right vendor and that was our experience meeting with Amanda. Her pictures are amazing and we were happy that she had shot at both of our locations previously (The Center and Norman Chapel).

I'm quite awkward when I know someone is taking my picture. In the past, our photos have been a disappointment, so I was preparing myself for the worse on our wedding day. To my surprise, I forgot they were even there! They were so polite and unobtrusive that we had wedding quests coming up to say how awesome our photographers were. And just to add, Amanda and Hayden have great personalities - they even took the slight harassment and sarcasm like champs (hey, we like to joke around)!

Amanda was patient with me when creating our timeline (trust me, this took a lot of patience during her busiest month) and worked with all of our vendors to deliver the final times and expectations. On the wedding day, she was able to hit every location and photo we asked for and even suggested alternate sites for the best images.

Aside, from Amanda's professionalism, the pictures speak for themselves. We are beyond thrilled and every step of the process has been incredible. She is so fun and you will not only love your photos, but love working with Amanda and Hayden too. Yes, we would give them 100 starts if we could! Thank you for everything!

You will not regret hiring Amanda & her team! I can't say enough about her organization before and on the wedding day. She even had rave reviews from the groomsmen about her efficiency with bridal party photos - and you know that doesn't come easy. She is on time and great at helping you plan your day. She is also a great reference for any other vendors you might need.

Amanda was so great to work with! My husband and I had a blast meeting and working with her throughout our planning process. She genuinely wants to know what we wanted for our big day, and if there are any pictures that we want to have. And since I had done a lot of pinning on Pinterest for the big day, I had some ideas! Amanda's organization and professionalism shined every time we met with her. She provided us with a rough schedule for the big day that we were able to work with during the rest of our planning. If there were any changes in the schedule, she was very prompt in finding how to make everything run smooth. I love that she is able to post previews of both your engagement session and wedding day shortly after the event on her blog!

Amanda was a pleasure to work with since the moment we first met.

Quality of Service - Amanda is very seamless in her approach to capturing the moments of your big day. She is very quick yet thourough in ensuring you get the images you want yet are able to spend time actually enjoying your day. She kept track of all "special pictures" that we wanted to ensure she captured everything we wanted.

Responsiveness - Amanda is very quick to respond, usually within 24 hours. If she is going to be out of pocket for a while whether it's for personal or business events, she gives all of her clients plenty of notice so it doesn't cause any issues.

Professionalism - Amanda was 100% professional in every way. She was timely, considerate of my time before and during the wedding, organized, thorough in ensuring she captured the things we wanted. During the wedding itself, she was very inconspicuous to not drawing too much attention.

Value - I have no regrets about what we spent on our package. Not being from Cincinnati, I did a lot of research to ensure we were getting a great photographer without spending unnecessarily. Amanda is known and very well respected by all other vendors who inquired who our photographer was. She has great packages to fit whatever your needs may be. At the end of the day, your photographs are one of the few things left after your wedding....sometimes even out lasting your memories. She was worth every penny.

Flexibility - The weather wasn't ideal for our engagement session. With my then fiance living long distance, it didn't allow many opportunities for our session to take place. Amanda was very flexible in rescheduling, even willing to work a holiday for us - that's dedication!

Amanda is the sweetest and most talented photographer. I spent a ton of time researching photographers early on in wedding planning. I think we made the absolute best decision by picking Amanda. She is a perfect mix of creative and classic. She traveled to our future home city(2 hours away) for our engagement session and spent a couple of hours with us to ensure we had a variety of pictures to choose from for our guestbook and Save the Date. A month before the wedding we sat down with Amanda and went through the timeline of the day. This was extremely helpful! She created a timeline that addressed all of our needs but kept things relaxed and fun. During our day she took control when needed and was prompt and efficient in getting all the shots we were hoping for. I highly recommend having Amanda being a part of one of the most important days of your life!

Photography was my #1 priority when planning our wedding. Amanda was the first and ONLY wedding photographer I met with and as soon as I met her for the first time at Starbucks I knew my photos would be in good hands :) Not only is she one of the nicest and most patient people, she and her assistant Geri were so professional!! She made us all feel so comfortable in front of the camera (Including my husband, who doesn't really like pictures) She truly has an amazing gift! My photos were eveything I could've hoped for and more!!! I cannot even begin to thank her enough and I would highly recommend her to ALL future brides :)

I would very highly recommend Amanda Donaho Photography for your big day! I was married in 2008 and have followed Amanda's work ever since- her photos are stunning and timeless. She beautifully captured all of the moments of our wedding day and is a joy to be around. I am SO very thankful for her amazing photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives!

Amanda is absolutely amazing, not just as a photographer but as a person. She did such an incredible job at our wedding, and since it was later in the evening, we relied on her to help keep everything on schedule. Not only did she keep us on schedule, but she got every picture we wanted (done perfectly) and then had us early. I don't know many photographers that are that organized. Then when we got the photos we were speachless...her creativity and vision is amazing! We love every single one of them! She will not disappoint you.

Amanda was amazing - my husband and I knew we wanted Amanda to capture our big day the moment we met her! Amanda is absolutely amazing. She has such an incredible talent. Although I didn't give her much direction (b/c she clearly knows what she's doing) she really was able to capture my day exactly as I hoped it would be. One thing I was most impressed by was how well she kept track of time. If it weren't for her I would've certainly been late to everything, but she did some of our photos beforehand and stuck to our timeline down to the very second. I continue to constantly receieve compliments on how beautiful our photos are. Better yet, we had all of our editted images avaiable to us within just a few weeks of our wedding and the album shortly thereafter. She is incredibly organized and that is obviously something that every bride treasures in a vendor.

Amanda was nothing short of AMAZING. She was so pleasant, informative, helpful, and talented. The list could go on and on. Not to mention, the quality of her photos and the albums afterwards is fantastic. I recommend her to everyone. She is extremely personable, quick to respond to questions, and intelligent. Even her assistants were great to work with. I can not say it enought, the quality of her work is above perfect. I wouldn't change one thing about her work and she captured wonderful memories for me and my family to enjoy for many years. Thanks!

Photography was one of my top priorities and I was SO pleased with Amanda's work. Once I booked her I didn't have to think about the photography at all; Amanda is organized and professional while also having an artist's eye. My husband and I adore the photo album she designed for us. Also, she was amazing about helping the day of the wedding. Hiring Amanda was the best choice we made!

Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was my favorite vendor! She is very prompt in answering questions, returning calls, etc. Her work and creative talent is out of this world. We received dozens and dozens of compliments on our wedding photos! I love her work. I still check her blog almost daily to look at her new sneak peeks. I think Amanda is a great value for everything that was included in our package. We had engagement photos, wedding photos and a leather bound photo book. She did an amazing job designing our album. I love her creativity and ability to capture not your typical shots. There are not enough wonderful things I can say about her. I look forward to using her again!

What can I say about Amanda Donaho? How about TALENTED, wonderful, PROFESSIONAL, CARING, considerate, kind, SKILLED, comfortable, FRIENDLY, thoughtful, etc. etc., and I could go on and on... I cannot say enough about how I feel for Amanda as a person and as a photographer.

Amanda made us feel comfortable when we felt awkward and unknowing of what to do. She was always available to "talk" through email and open to talk about anything that you have concerns with. She was always willing to go up and beyond for you and your loved ones.

Above all, Amanda is just a NICE person. I think it's important to like your photographer as a person. She has incredible integrity, too, which makes me love her even more. Not only is she extraordinary at what she does, she has wonderful, easy to understand wedding packages and a la carte items. Her pricing is AMAZING, and given to the the economic woes this past year, Amanda was EXACTLY what I was looking for in photography, in a photographer, and in investment.

Significant to note, when the topic of how many weddings she does in a weekend came up, she said to me (and this is paraphrasing but pretty close) that she only did one wedding per weekend b/c she wanted to have her "creative mind" full and undistracted for her bride and groom for that one day. I thought her saying that is and was a testimony to how dedicated Amanda is to her art, craft, and passion. I met Amanda in 2008 when she was shooting a wedding that I was in. Immediately she impressed me when I saw her sitting on the floor studying a book my friend made of bridal magazine clippings which had poses that she wanted Amanda to try. Although she tends to shoot alone, she does better than any 3 person crew. If you allow her, she will be everywhere and get every shot you could ever want. Literally! I got over 2000 pics back on CDs. When she shot my wedding, my bridal party and guests were all shocked by her extreme dedication throughout the day. She is simply amazing! My videographer backed out last minute, but I was ok with that because I knew that I had Amanda to still tell my story. My pictures are perfect, and I get so excited to show them to people. When I went to pickup my prints at Walmart, the workers were all gathered around my pics looking at them. Whether or not that was legal, I didn't care and I joined in bragging about my new friend and photographer, Amanda Donaho. You will not be disappointed!

Amanda has been a friend of my husband's for years, and we were thrilled when she agreed to shoot our wedding day! Amanda and her creative talent is AMAZING. I can't say enough about her and her creativity! She shot our e-pics, wedding, and post-wedding pictures! Amanda went above and beyond her services and it really shows in her work. She once said that she wants her clients to feel like their pictures could be on the cover of a model magazine and we all certainly do! All our friends and family love the final pictures and I can't stop recommending her to all my friends who are currently engaged. Amanda was absolutely wonderful! I honestly wish I could select 10 stars for everything above because she was phenomenal. She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and her pictures are absolutely breathtaking. I kind of wish she wasn't such an amazing photographer because then picking my favorite pictures would be a whole lot easier (but I'm not complaining, I'd rather have too many good pictures any day!!!!). I will definitely be recommending her to friends who get engaged and we will be using her for any other pictures we may need. We have absolutely no complaints!!!!

I absolutely loved Amanda as my photographer!! We met for 20 minutes in a coffee shop and I was immediately hooked. Her eye for photography is fabulous, and she has a very photo-journalistic style that I love. Besides that, she is a sweetheart with a great sense of humor who worked well with all of my other vendors.

On my wedding day, she was great about working within the limits of time and weather, and she was very open to suggestions if you wanted a particular shot of this or that. Afterward, my pictures arrived on time as promised and I was so happy with the way they turned out. Weddings are so stressful for the bride and groom, and of course nothing goes exactly according to plan, so it was great for me to be able to really relax and leave the photography to the expert. She was fabulous!

Amanda was a great photographer! I had searched and searched for weeks to find a photographer for our wedding. I contacted photographers from Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati. I couldn't be happier that Amanda was able to capture our wedding in Cincinnati. She responds very quickly to e-mails and was very helpful in setting the time-line for our wedding. The day of the wedding she also made sure everything went smoothly and kept us on track. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
