Allen and I first met online, on a website created more for having fun playing games and making friends than for finding anything lasting. That's why we were both surprised when we connected during our first conversation, and kept connecting everytime we talked. The first time I called him on the phone, it was because he thought I was being less than truthful about something, and I wanted him to hear the honesty in my voice. Instead, his southern accent held me transfixed, and to this day I can't recall any of what he actually said, just the way his voice made me melt on the inside. The day he finally came up to the city to take me antiquing, our first meeting in person, it hit us both. He stepped out of his truck to come up to the house, just as I was coming out of the garage. That first sight...the world moved for the both of us. Our lives as single people were over. Our first kiss was literally five minutes later, when we pulled into the Mike's Car Wash to wash down his truck. As we were going through the tunnel, he said he just had to do it, and pulled me in for a deep kiss, sealing our fates together. Since that first day, we have spent very little time apart. We have never had a serious fight, because when one of us gets upset and gives off that high energy level, the other understands, and lowers their energy until emotions have calmed. We react oppositely, so that the situation can cool, instead of equally, allowing it to escalate. Our souls truly understand eachother. He is my love, my mate, my anam cara. And it was truly, love at first byte.
