I finally found the ring! Share your story.

I went to Zales yesterday and looked at rings. I am a very picky person when it comes to jewelry. I nearly had a set once upon a time, but decided it was not the ring for me. I've been looking around for rings since before we got married (3 years on August 13). I looked around, doubting I'd find anything I liked. To my extreme surprise, I fell in love with a ring. The lower band on the first photo is the band that I am getting with it. I put the down payment on it today. Hubs says that when it's paid off and ready, I can't wear it. He plans on proposing to me, which he never did. My husband's new ring is about $150 after taxes. His is black titanium. Our budget was $1000 for all 3 of our rings, and I just BARELY went over it. Smiley smile My rings were on sale, so I got a good deal.

Main ring: 399, marked down from 579

Band: 250, marked down from 400

Insurance: 160

With lifetime guarantees, it came to a total of 865.

What is your ring story? Do you know the price? Discount?

Our rings are antique and were his great, great grandparents. I love that mine has rubies and that the marriage was a good one. I also get told my ring fits who I am which is nice to hear.

Is that a sapphire between the split shanks? That is a similar style to mine which of course I love.

DH and I went shopping together to find an engagement ring that we could re-set my grandmom's diamond into (originally my great-grandmoms). I love my rings for so many reasons, but especially how unique they are. Beautifully handcrafted and carved and one of a kind.

FH and I literally just came from the store selecting and getting our rings. Sadly our schedules have been so crazy this was the first opportunity we had to go shopping for rings...and the big day is this Thursday. We were lucky they had what we liked in our sizes.

I haven't gotten awesome pro pics of my wedding band with it, but here's my e-ring! I am in love with it, and the band makes it even better!

Here's my engagement ring first. It's a Mt. St Helens obsidianite Black Hills Gold ring. The stone comes from the ash of the volcano, compressed like most gems are made. I've loved the idea of the stone for a long time because I've gone through a lot in my life, the least of which is my failed first marriage, but like the stone, I've managed to grow and make something beautiful from it. It will get moved to my right hand.

The ring we'll be using for my wedding ring for an unknown amount of time is the second picture. It's a ring my grandfather had made for one of his wives. He traveled everywhere, and picked up the stones in his travels. After they were divorced, she wanted a loan he knew she'd never pay back, so he took the ring as collateral. It got passed down to me. By the time it got to me a couple diamonds were missing, so they were replaced from one of my mom's old wedding rings, another failed marriage. It may get replaced. lol.

My FH didn't want me to go with him to look at rings - but I sort of insisted. We had a budget of $5,000.00, but I knew he'd push the limit if I didn't go with him. I wanted something unique and something that didn't have a huge center stone. I have small hands - ring size 4.5 - so knew anything big would look like costume jewelry (at least to me!). I saw the Neil Lane rings and was dead set on the one I finally chose We picked out the matching band to go with it. I don't know how much exactly he spent with insurance put he got both for around $4,000.00 - under budget! I love the fact that my ring is so sparkly.

When FH was planning to propose, he got overwhelmed researching diamonds and the different rings and trying to guess what I'd like. So he bought a cheap ring at Meijing to propose with--it was giant! Too big for my thumb!

My dad was having major surgery so we didn't get to shop for rings until later. My e-ring is a Sylvie ring and I LOVE IT. It has a split shank but one side doesn't connect to the halo--instead it goes under the diamond and connects with the one on the opposite side.

I love my ring! I picked it out to upgrade the band I was wearing. We got it from Idonowidont.com The ring is originally from brilliant earth which is supposed to have conflict free stones and recycled 18k gold. T

he ring originally would cost over 3,500 and we paid 1,000. I absolutely love the yellow sapphire that sparkles like crazy and all my friends know yellow is my favorite color.

We went shopping together just so I figure out the style she would like. Her mom has passed down a stone that she wanted to use. Well she fell in love with a ring that was around $500. I went in later with the stone to place the order. Beside the stone, she has her birthstone (March) and my birthstone (June). Sadly the ring didn't fit the main stone. So I had to get it custom which sent the cost 3 times more then the ring in the case. But in the end, she loves it. Picture later.

She doesn't want a wedding band so we're sticking to one ring.

I'm mobile, so no pics. My e-ring is silver and its a 3 stone ruby, with 2 tiny diamonds next to the main stone.

For my wedding ring, I've let him know I'm liking the halo style, or the really antique looking ones. But that overall I really want a black diamond in the black titanium(or oxidized aka "black" silver).

He wants a slim silver ring, but I'm thinking of having one made for him, but idk what yet.
