Loretta, Tom, and their entire team did such an amazing job! They worked with us for over a year and created the most wonderful menu for both our wedding reception at Hancock Shaker Village and the farewell brunch the following morning at my in-laws' house. They were super attentive, patient, professional, imaginative, and worked really hard. Their food and every interaction made us so happy; at every step of the way (and especially on the wedding day), they made us feel like we were in good hands and had absolutely nothing to worry about. Food was a huge priority for us and SoMa did not disappoint: 3 months later our guests still rave about it. We've heard from so many friends that it was hands-down the best food they've ever had at a wedding (if not ever). Some have been even asking us to find out certain recipes from them! Every item at the cocktail hour was delicious and so tastefully presented. Our dinner was family style - and people thanked us for it because everyone got a chance to taste everything. Pretty much everyone's absolute favorite was the pork belly -- we keep salivating about it :-) The desserts were out of this world. The flourless chocolate cake was to die for. As were the breakfast pizzas from their portable pizza oven on Sunday morning. SOOOOOO good. The entire staff was perfect: very attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring. SoMa worked seamlessly together with our wedding planners and other vendors. It was the most positive experience we could wish for and we can't thank them enough!

I vividly remember the morning I first came across Heirloom Fire on the internet. I had been looking for a farm to table catering service for our wedding and after a bit of searching and feeling discouraged after talking to a few caterers I stumbled upon their page. I was hooked immediately and inquired. By far one of the best parts of our wedding was working with Heirloom Fire. We have had multiple groups of friends who attended our wedding telling us this was the best wedding food they have ever had. I was beyond excited for the look of surprise each guest had on their face when the HF team brought out the boards of food for each table. Truly an experience no one had ever had before. From the teams outfits, to the incredible charcuterie board they assembled, to the local ingredients sourced from local farmers using only what is in season this was where we knew we wanted to allocate a bit more money to for our wedding. Working with Kady and James was just a blast right from the beginning when we meet them at our tasting. On our wedding day they took such great care in my husband and I. Making sure we were the first to taste the passed apps, creating a separate plate for us to munch off of as well as making sure we had time to sit and eat our meal and dessert. With extra cake and coffee being brought back to our table as it was running low, so that we could actually have a bit of what we choose! All of the extra food from the night was then bagged and boxed off for us to take home and share with family after the wedding weekend! Something that truly stands out for me is that they forage for all of their leaves, greens, sticks and decorations they use for the passed apps, charcuterie board and serving trays. I remember Kady showing me a photo of her standing on her truck picking leaves off a tree at an event they had prior to our wedding since she knew she would need just that right pop of color for some of the details of our day and may not be able to find that foliage down in Newport RI (where they were headed to do our wedding). The amount of pride this team takes in their work does not go unnoticed.
