As a wedding planner who works with BreadGarden Market Catering often, they’re truly one of our go-to teams in the Iowa City area. Their communication is reliable, the food is always good, and they genuinely care about making every event a success. Christa is fantastic to work with—organized, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile—and the rest of the team is just as great. They’re easy to collaborate with, dependable on event days, and consistently deliver a great experience for both our couples and their guests. We love working with BreadGarden and highly recommend them for weddings and events.

We were extremely happy with Oasis catering for our wedding. We are both strict vegetarians, so it was great to have something that would please us, as well as our carnivore family. Naftaly was great, we were able to put together a buffet meal for less than $15 per serving (including plates, napkins, and utensils). They do start the service charge when they do out of town events, but for food to feed 92 people, it was less than $1700, including tax. They are also helpful about numbers, since they are a restaurant, they can give you until a week or so before the wedding to get exact numbers. If you are a vegetarian and have concerns about serving food that you like and your family will too, Oasis is a great option.

I received nothing but wonderful compliments on the food. Marty is very experienced and with him as your caterer, you won't need a wedding planner at all! He has a very relaxed personality, has fun with what he does, and is all around a good business person.

We knew we wanted to serve Jimmy Jack's amazing BBQ at our laid back wedding reception. It was a HUGE hit with everyone! We served sliced turkey, pulled pork, quarter slabs of pork ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, and their amazing honey corn bread. What a feast! Because their catering requires you to order one of everything for each person, we had way too much food, but it was worth it because the leftovers are awesome too! Jimmy Jack's is the best BBQ in the area and it made for a memorable and delicious wedding feast. Their service, in addition to their food, is top notch.
